In the parse_templates plug in, there's 3 phrases, one is dup_x_unread_posts and if you look at the contents of that phrase, it's

You Have {1} <a href="{3}search.php?do=getnew&contenttype=vBForum_ Post">Unread {2}</u></a>

Trek's changes work well to get the correct count of unread posts w/filtered forums however the search string needs to contain the &exclude={vb:raw bbuserinfo.excludeforumids} for it to work with the modifications others that noted in that thread.

I'm not sure any of those changes align with typical coding standards but it sure seems like they are close to getting the two products to work together.

No phrases should need to be changed. The filtering modification should already be excluding its selected forums, thats its purpose.

I dont understand the question.

Swordman844555 02-13-2011 11:56 AM

Older articles (posts) from the CMS will suddenly appear as new even though they were already read.

Please excuse my bad English.

Paul M 02-13-2011 01:02 PM

Are you allowing CMS articles to have comments ?

Swordman844555 02-13-2011 01:16 PM

Yes.

But there were no new comments!

I'm getting the wrong day, how do I correct this?

hugh_ 04-09-2011 09:22 PM

I installed this on a newly upgraded forum using vbulletin 4.1.3 but I get the following garbled text with a broken link on the second line:

You last visited: Today at 09:34 PM : You Have 4,779 Unread
You have %1$s unread %2$s

^ points to: %3$ssearch.php?do=getnew%4$s

How can I fix this?

Thanks...
