A deeper set of statistics and numbers would be pretty cool.

Currently the most popular game list is determined only by the number of times the game has been played. Unfortunately there are quite a few games that last only a few seconds and get played over and over just for the game player to get any manner of game playing experience. These are usually not the best games in any given arcade and they certainly aren't the most popular.... are just over very quickly. You will usually find 'Archery 2000', 'Copter', 'Yeti long shot'. and a few other that are always on the popular game list.

I believe a better way to determine the most popular games would be to use the total time played instead of the number of times the game has been played. This would make a more accurate popular games list. Perhaps an admin choice between the two methods?

There are a lot of games that are best played full screen. Instead of playing game in new window, then maximizing the window, another choice, play full screen would be nice.

I'm testing Ibproarcade Vbulletin version and it seems this one is lacking a lot of features that the Invision Power Board version has like

Inline Moderation of the scores I find this quite annoying and members can't edit their own comments

It would also be good if the Arcade profiles were more like the Ibproarcade for Invision power board like in this screenshot

How about the ability to make the system 'drop' a players high score in a game if they play the game again and get a lower score? - Call it 'Boxing Title Scoring' - where, if they play and get a lower score.. they aren't the CHAMP anymore.

This has probably already been suggested, but I think it would urge others to play...

Add to this that the player with the TOP score can be challenged by anyone else.. A kind of, "I challenge you to keep your score".. if the player doesn't play within 48 hours or so.. they auto-matically lose the top score... (Of course, if someone is going to be absent for the 48 hours they could 'buy' insurance ... cost of insurance (top score in one of the other games)...

Seems like a cheap way to outdo someone that has a bad day at the game.

While that is the Boxing type system of defending your title, anyone could simply just not play the game anymore and avoid risking losing there high score.

Even if you allowed challenges, in Boxing its about who wins, not how you played the game, so even if it was a close match with a lower high score if the champ still wins he still wins. So really, what's the point?

Why wouldn't you go by User Ratings and have a function that orders the games in a list of highest rated. Therefore each community will determine what are the best games based upon the rating they give them.

Unfortunately, not everyone will rate the games. Therefore, if no one rates them, then this would become a useless way of tracking the most popular games :(

I think it could go either way especially if most popular games are determined by rating that would in itself encourage members to rate games and also it would be a good idea if the rating of games was made more visible for example like the threads here on vb.org

I think a neat feature would be to allow members to set their preferences in their UserCP Options as to whether they want Private messages & E-mail notifications from the Arcade.

Some of my members want to know when their high score gets beaten while I think it's annoying. :)

Cheese and Rice!..
Y'know, this message 'asked' for suggestions.. I gave a few.. and then someone 'ARGUES' down the suggestion?

Maybe, that's why there's no suggestions..

Hey Legions!.. imagine this... Yeah, someone could just 'not play' - someone comes up behind them and plays with a HIGHER score.. they take the lead.. duh!..

Keeps those 'players' (for lack of a better word) from just sitting on a high score.. And who cares if someone has a 'bad day' in the games? Losing their seat in the game serves them right for Playing when they have a bad day. Like the top score 'belongs' to them or something..

Again though, if you're going to ASK for suggestions.. Lets not ARGUE them down..

It was a viable suggestion.. I've seen it in play elsewhere.. and if you really want to get technical.. "If someone risks playing the game after having a high score" and does worse.. So what?!!..

IT's A GAME!.. Just a GAME!.. yeesh!
