If you are experiencing problems with Achievements on a forum in a subdirectory like /forums/:
Please download the Beta 2 again, overwrite class_xperience.php and reimport product. Recount after then.

Phalynx 09-03-2009 09:55 AM

Good News: I will release a Refresh of the Beta 2 with the following changelog:

3.8.5 Beta 2.1
- Shop can now control items of "Links and Download Manager" and "DownloadsII". Simply put the LinkID of the item into the Shop Item Properties. User cannot download the item until he purchase it.
- Fixed issue with Notification on forums with subdirectory (e.g. /forums/)
- Fixed issue with Achievements on forums with subdirectory (e.g. /forums/)
- Fixed issue with Google Chrome and Tabs
- Improved uninstall

How to upgrade?
Simply overwrite all PHP files and import product XML.

Awaiting feedback :)

How to implement Shop Items that can be downloaded after purchased.
1. Install vBExperience, enable shop.
2. Install LDM Links And Download Manager or DownloadsII
3. Install either ZIP\extras\Addons\download_files_shop_ldm.xml or ZIP\extras\Addons\download_files_shop_downloadsII. xml. Depends of which downloadsystem you have installed.
4. Upload the download content. Memorize the LinkID!
5. AdminCP, Experience, Manage Shop, Add Category/Edit items
6. Depending of the downloadsystem you have to enter the numerical LinkID into the correct field

If the user purchased the item, he can download it. If he sells or give it away, he cannot access the file anymore.

Installed the Beta and found a bug. In the Your Notifications the url does not point to the forum URL. For example my notifcation is domain.net/member.php... when it should be domain/forum/member.php.... all other notifications are fine so it's just vbexperience.

Cannot confirm that. Working fine on 3.7 and 3.8

DarkArmada 09-17-2009 04:16 AM

*sigh*

Ok here goes. So I've been working on intergrating vBexperience into my forum today. For starters, I couldn't even get the promotions system to work properly. I had to run like 50 recounts just to get every single user promoted to the correct usergroup (as every recount would end in an SQL error on a different user). Chances are that's the reason why this new issue is happening.

My forum (http://www.thegamevine.com/forum) is working fine, except now I can't access anyone's public profile. For example...

http://www.thegamevine.com/forum/member.php?u=2

It just doesn't load, generally meaning there's an error within that template that is stopping the page from loading. I love your product and really want it to work, it just doesn't...

If there's someone here who can help then please do, I'm dying here. This has been so far the most difficult vb mod I've ever had to install. Am I doing something wrong here? Also if I use ">" for the promotions instead of "=" - all I get is SQL errors. It shouldn't be this difficult...

Please someone save me :)

Edit: OK so through some troubleshooting, I've turned off "Use the activities?" setting and now the profile loads. I have no idea what this means...
