I recently installed this on a new website site and am having an issue where the google analytics is detecting another site but not the one in which this product is installed. Is there a way to flush the cache? I obviously don;t want to associate this installation with that URL seeing as how they are owned by two different people.

DragonByte Tech 02-22-2016 04:12 PM

Sorry, I'm not sure I understand what you mean, can you show a screenshot?

Fillip

In the dropdown menu the URL which appears is another site, not the one upon which I need to associate the google analytics. How do I get the site I'm working on to appear in the dropdown menu as an option?

DragonByte Tech 02-22-2016 04:23 PM

That means the domain you're working on does not have an account or a Web Property associated with the Google account you authorised in the previous step.

You can resolve this by following the instructions in the description and creating a new account and Web Property on the Google Analytics website linked in the description.

Pro version offers importer of vBSEO settings. So you wouldn't loose anything.

Also, free version offers manual setting of links, but you needed to have used standard settings of vBSEO (not complete change of links) and you need to enter them manually.

Thank You for quick reply..
We do have dbseo pr licenses for few other sites.. (not the 1 in question).
I am still confused how do i get old urls back..
If you can guide with some screenshots, it will be of great help.. or any manual ?

How do i check the old vbseo settings for urls and how to implement same in dbseo ?

Loosing traffic massively..

Click "vBSEO Import" in the DBSEO CP.

This are the options available in my DBSEO CP..
Please note, the site I am talking about is using free version of dbseo.

I have DBSEO pro licenses for other sites.

DragonByte Tech 02-27-2016 04:06 PM

Sorry, vBSEO Import is a Pro-only feature :(

geosharing 02-28-2016 02:23 PM

but my question is also pending now today im changing my hosting server but problem is same im trying to install dbseo 20.20 Pro license dbseo installed working fine but now im going to start posting on my forum then forum going to down and give me internal server error

DragonByte Tech 02-28-2016 02:31 PM

If you go to our site, and download DBSEO v2.0.30, then follow the additional instructions in the readme.txt file you should be able to resolve this :)

Fillip

DragonByte Tech 02-28-2016 04:45 PM

DragonByte SEO v2.0.30

Changed Features:
 • If the forum runs on both SSL and non-SSL, dynamically update Forum URL on-the-fly to match the current request protocol

Bug Fixes:
 • Included readme.txt instructions for alternate rewrite rules if you randomly started receiving 500 Internal Server Error messages
 • If the Request URL is simply /, don?t attempt to add another slash when redirecting from non-www to www or vice versa

Thank You very much for quick replies Fillip, Appreciated.
Is there anyway I can check my old url structure in vbseo ? (I still have the database tables intact, vbseo is disabled not removed yet)

For now, my only way to check old urls is via statistics software.. Webalizer stats etc. which comes with cpanel.
I can post some urls here, if you can help me configure the same in dbseo.

Like Main Category url
Forum Display URL
Showthread URL.
Blog/etc. any other settings I had configured.

DragonByte Tech 02-29-2016 10:53 PM

You can inspect your vbseo-config.xml file however we cannot offer assistance with manually re-creating it. The Lite version of DBSEO also doesn't support custom URLs, so if the formats are not within the default vBSEO options then they will not be compatible with the Lite version unfortunately :(

Fillip

DragonByte Tech 02-29-2016 10:57 PM

DragonByte SEO v2.0.31

New Features:
 • Added support for Redis caching via $config['Datastore']['dbseoclass'] = 'DBSEO_Datastore_Redis';

Changed Features:
 • The DBSEO CP now displays the correct cache information if you use the $config['Datastore']['dbseoclass'] directive instead of vB?s datastore cache directive

Bug Fixes:
 • (vB3) A plugin was missing from the XML file, meaning the "URL History" feature would not work as intended

Thank You Fillip,
This is the URL structure, I need to incorporate in dbseo, got this details from:
/public_html/vbseo/resources/xml/config.xml file

Code:

<setting>

<value>%forum_title%</value>
</setting>

<setting>

<value>%forum_title%/%thread_id%-%thread_title%.html</value>
</setting>

<setting>

<value>%forum_title%/%thread_id%-%thread_title%-prev-thread.html</value>
</setting>
<setting>

<value>%forum_title%/%thread_id%-%thread_title%-next-thread.html</value>
</setting>

<setting>

<value>%post_id%-post%post_count%.html</value>
</setting>

<setting>

<value>%forum_title%/poll-%poll_id%-%poll_title%.html</value>
</setting>
<setting>

<value>%forum_path%/</value>
</setting>

<setting>

<value>%forum_path%/index%forum_page%.html</value>
</setting>
<setting>

<value>%forum_title%/announcement-%announcement_title%.html</value>
</setting>
<setting>

<value>%forum_title%/announcements.html</value>
</setting>

<setting>

<value>%forum_title%/%attachment_id%-%thread_title%-%original_filename%</value>
</setting>
<setting>

<value>%thread_title%-%original_filename%</value>
</setting>
<setting>

<value>rss.xml</value>
</setting>
<setting>

<value>rss-%forum_title%.xml</value>
</setting>
<setting>

<value>index.php|index.php?</value>
</setting>

Most important part for me will be:
ForumDisplay URLs
Showthread URLs
Category Urls

Rest can be ignored from those settings, I have also attached the config.xml file in case required.

DragonByte Tech 03-01-2016 01:49 PM

To check for comparable DBSEO URLs, use [] instead of %%. F.ex. [forum_title]/[thread_id]-[thread_title].html :)

How do I find where ./store_sitemap is located in order to CHMOD it to 777? Running vB 4.2

DragonByte Tech 03-08-2016 11:17 PM

If the folder doesn't exist, feel free to create it :)

It should be in the forum root folder.

Sorry, I don't understand what you're asking, could you rephrase please?

If you're looking for how to include a custom 404 page, that setting can be found in the DBSEO CP :)

Fillip

SWSUSA 03-22-2016 07:54 AM

Yes, I look for how to include the user page 404. I include it, but the code of the answer of the server 200, and has to be 404.

Да, ищу, как включить пользовательскую страницу 404. Я её включаю, но код ответа сервера 200, а должен быть 404.

DragonByte Tech 03-25-2016 07:40 PM

You need to use header() in your custom 404 script :)

Do you have any caching systems like XCache enabled in config.php?

I have memcache enabled in config.php

Could you try disabling it just to eliminate it as a possible cause?

When you visit /dbseositemap.php with no parameters, it should fetch the /store_sitemap/dbseo_sitemap_index.xml.gz (or just dbseo_sitemap_index.xml if the .gz doesn't exist), assuming the server tells PHP that file exists and is readable.

If disabling memcache does not fix it, and you're double sure that file exists, then this would be a server issue that you should contact your host about.

You will need to post your database error message if you need any help, I can't guess what's wrong without an error message :)

Installed on a site and site works fine when the forum.php page is the default page in Navigation Manager but if Articles is the default tab in Navigation Manager, you can get to the forums no matter whether you click on the Forums tab or even manually enter the forum.php page in the browser, it keeps you in the Articles section (content.php.). Any ideas?

You can turn off the Force Forum Directory Index setting from the General Rewrite Settings in the DBSEO CP :)
