Hey Ted,
not sure what is causing this, I am unable to go to the next page in Manage Products & Reviews through the AdminCP, it just takes me back to the page you first see when you go into Manage Products & Reviews when I click Next Page. I saw that someone else brought this up but the issue never got resolved as the poster doesn't seem to have returned. My Product listings will end up in the high hundreds fairly soon, the next page function is really a concern, is there a fix for this please. |

Thank you Ted, that works perfectly. :) |

Is there any way to add a column for the Manufacturer to the left of the Product column? Also, a way to rearrange the "search" fields so that they line up with their respective columns below?

Everything is templated to make it very simple to change -- one for the main page body and search fields, another for the individual records. |

I know you're all eagerly [or perhaps angrily] waiting for 1.3 so here's the first sneak peak of the new optional review fields... You get three data types: yes/no, 5-star and freeform. Fun, huh?
And before you ask: These are global options. Category specific versions will come in in the next rev. |

And what's this... an image uploader? Automatic thumbnails? Even having them show up in the product forums index? And the search results? Yup. :D
And before you ask: We're already thinking about multiple images... For the next rev. |

Ok, one more sneak peak for the night...
Yes, that's right, it's a forum showing thumbnails in place of the thread icon [sorry, no new post indicator]. And oh ya, that is a new product link at the bottom too! And before you ask: A manual hack still required for this one, no escaping that with the current vB. |
The coming update looks to be very exciting and promising, looking forward to it immensely. :)

I have installed the product but this the message that appear on http://www.naijafinder.com/productforums.php
NaijaFinder Message The administrator of this site must disable the vBulletin option "Add Template Name in HTML Comments", a debugging feature, to use this mod. Unless of course they want debugging comments in the reviews. Please how do i resolve this to enable the page to show? |

Look for Add Template Name in HTML Comments click the NO option then scroll down and save ;) |

How do i add review. I have done every setting but this is what am see http://www.naijafinder.com/productforums.php
NaijaFinder Message No product reviews matches your search. Try broadening your criteria or selecting another category. How do i add review please? |
Quote:
That's done through the Product Forums area in your Admin CP or, if enabled, from the user side's via productforums.php?do=addproduct |

One more sneak peak... This one looks unassuming but it adds up. We're talking about the activity bit... every time someone writes a review we'll add one making it easy for reviews to get social.
And to answer your question: Yes, we've removed new products and review threads from the activity stream. No more "empty post" bits! p.s. ... It's almost beta time... Are you ready? |

Big news PRF users... Version 1.3.0 beta has been released marking a major update to the Product Review Forums system. Lots has been changed but before we get into that here's what you should know... This update is currently in beta. Why? Because it's a major change and while it's running live on a few sites caution is always best. Have a look, play around, but please don't just install it into production. So what's new? Lots done, and yes, more to come...
For those of you who customized 1.2.4 template edits are too extensive to list but almost all cosmetic so use a merge tool. CSS changes are marked. Images added too but not overwritten. Install Guide: If you're new to PRF be sure to read our install guide. View the complete change log |
installed on Version vB 4.2.0 PL 2

Installed on localhost with 4.2PL2, no problems so far barr one issue, in the forum display the icon is not being resized. I have used an image that is 220px x 220px to force resizing, as you can see the image is not being resized, is this normal?
Attachment 139768 **** EDIT **** Ted, what is this in the admin manage products: Full Img On my test site all products have NO in this column, am I missing a setting do you suppose? |
Updates look fantastic and all the little bits I need :)
I don't do test sites haha, I may upgrade it in a week or two and see how I get on :) |
Quote:
I'll see if we can force a resize but as its a 40x40 and theres a lot of them, keeping file size down seems important too :D |
Quote:
Also, does this happen with products created via the admin as well [you mentioned moderation so I assume this item was added as "user"]? |

I have tried altering existing Product by duplicating the same image url, this is where I found the not resizing thing. On another point, when clicking the Upload a new product photo? in manage products I get this error: Quote:
****** EDIT ******** Existing Products will not have the other icons either would they, this will be a pain for sites already using this mod, in a day or so my site will around 300 products listed, nadgers to editing them all to include the new icons, can this be done during the upgrade, or will it have to be a manual edit process?. |
Updated to reflect 1.3.0 beta 2 changes.

Update posted. Removed.
|
cool, I'm checking on my end again.
yes, i used one of my vendor users to add the product and had no issues. i resized and uploaded to a local directory for my thumbnails before inputting them as links - no issues. though i will test the resizing today since my vendors have gotten excited about this product |

Note: all existing image urls will be removed. Back up the pf_product table before you run this to be safe. |

As far as the error, that's getting triggered when we try to create a new thread so I wonder if there's a missing element or issue with the forum it's going into? The error debug should help. |

We had an issue posting your review because of Array. Try again or report this to our team and incldue code 164251-B. I still get this error. no more details showed up. this is a user added product with another user trying to add a review don't think it matters but my admincp isnt admincp anymore. it was the first thing I changed for security reasons. would you like to take a look at my setup to see if I missed a step on the install/upgrade? I can PM details. |

Also, is your Review Thread Forum set for new posts? |
yes, it is set for new posts.
----EDIT---- uploaded and still no joy. same error message when I submit a review |
in the admincp - links are broken after latest productforums.php
/productforums.php?do=productforums is a white screen /productforums.php?do=categories is a white screen /productforums.php?do=options is a white screen /productforums.php?do=resync is a white screen /productforums.php?do=giftery is a white screen /productforums.php?do=xml is a white screen /productforums.php?do=new_product is a white screen |
Quote:
If so, what does your error_log say? White screens tend to mean a script or include error that may be related to your specific server or php settings. |

Note: got your PM, but we need to solve this first as it's not something I can change via your admin. Note: this is for /forums/productforums.php |
now i get a blank page that just says "Array"
|
I updated but I do not see anywhere how to upload a photo ...

In our beta 2 release we spell this out on the add product page as well. Alternatively you can keep using image links and then run the bulk importer [also in beta 2] which will move them over for you. |
