This is a known problem of that award. I don't have a solution right now.

How many awards a user can have in your system? Can it be that the person who should get it, has already an award and the awards are limited to 1 award / person?

There is a mod called RadioActivity, which is doing what you need.

Will be implemented in 3.8.5

You will need to create three awards and name them xx gold, xx silver and xx bronze. Select the query position for gold the 0, silver 1 and bronze the 2. Generate awards and the awards are assigned in the right position.
There is no automatic assignment regarding leveling.



You need to wrap another template around it. Will implement such a thing for the next version.


Currently you cannot use awards for negative or low points.

I don't think this will happen, as I'm not using this mod. It must be be created by the author of any Arcade modification to implement reducing points of vBExperience, f.e. via Custom Points.

Downloads are NOT part of the modification, it really just counts uploads and views of it.

I have redesigned the whole Awards feature, introduced a new centralized page where all activities around vBExperience are collected, added a lot of Custom Data Provider Plugins like Helpful Answers/Post Ranking System and a lot more! Just read the changelog to see all bigger changes. Smaller changes and also iterations between beta version are not included in the changelog.

Upgrade Instructions
1. Copy ALL (I mean ALL - That is a common error!) files from upload_via_ftp/ to the server.
2. ReImport product_vbexperience384.xml, allow overwrite
3. If you modified any of the vBExperience templates, revert them
4. Check all Awards, correct their URL to the new path /xperience/icons/. If you don't have custom awards, use the "clear award"-command to clear and re-create them.
5. Run AdminCP/Experience/Recount

Sorry, I was referring to Activity. I just upgraded to 3.8.4, did a Experience | Recount and see 100% Activity for two users so far and the rest are 99%.

First of all, "and the rest are 99%" is NOT true. You have also users below that.

Also, your "Average posts per day" is very low, plus you have only 42 Members. A 100%-Activity can be reached very easily, because it takes the postcount/etc. of the best 10 people. As there can be only one member with 100%, all others with 100% are, depending of the average postcount, decreasedto 99.x%

Taken this into consideration you can just increase the timeframe to f.e. 40 and also test the new Activity settings (posts, visitormessages, group messages, activity reducing per day)

Let me clarify. The experience page shows the accurate percentage, but not in the post section. In post section, I looked through about 8 pages so far and on those 8 pages, the members have 99% when I move my mouse over the activity bar. Now I see three members with 100% in post section (only one in experience page). From what I can see, I'm sure the calculation is correct but the bar shows the rounded up number. So if member has 99.5% on experience page, the post section will show 100% (not bar but mouse over text). See attached picture.

Yes, you are right. The % is showing a rounded up/down value. Will change this for 3.8.5 to show a value with a decimal like 99.5%.

Since the last upgrade, and this one .. the time it takes to recount has increased substantially. I noticed that once I did the last upgrade - the awards were never updated again. I think this may be because my vbulletin is timing out on the automatic recount scheduled task. Is there a way to reduce the number of users it is processing per cycle in the scheduled task like we have in the manual recount?

It recalculates Users that have logged in or wrote a posting since the last cron. As the cron ist running every 10 minute this should not be so much.

Do you have any plugins installed like "Thread Necromancer"?

"Activity on Issued Awards" date, in the Awards section, is stuck on one date and hasn't moved, although the awards have been updated multiple days. (8-4-2009) .. Just updated today and people got new awards, but date remained the same 8-4-2009. This may be why I was thinking no one has gotten new awards.

Espacially Thread Necromancer consumes much, much power. Disable it, and the whole process will run much faster.

Also it appears the ability to buy an item for someone else "gift" has disappeared. It is enabled in the general settings, but in the shop the only option one has is to "buy this item now" without the ability to gift it. Once you hit buy it now, its yours.

Where is the option to give away points? I have it enabled, but can't find how to do it.

I don't know if it was meant to be like this or not .. I did find the ability to give something you've already bought away. But I thought you could also buy something for someone else on the spot - without having to buy it yourself, then go into items you own, then give it away.

You have still the error with points_misc_dsl_vbexp - that does NOT come with vBExperience. Just look for all plugins that have a vBExperience in the name.
