How is version 2 coming along?

Because that 1 issue is still preventing me from using this modification to its full potential.

I know that I have to edit the welcomepanel template, and I saw the 'credits_toprow' template which displays that I want, however I cannot get that to be displayed in the welcome panel.

I have been trying to install the mod but keeps encountering this error when I import the product-credits.xml file.

that is a file permissions error completely unrelated to vbcredits - it would show up for any addon you are trying to install that adds cron tasks. looks like you need to chmod functions_cron.php to at least 644, but it might be easier to pass that error along to your host/sysadmin

How do you change the amount of credits earned per each action? (posts, poll, register, etc) Or is it set and unchangeable?

they are set in the usergroup settings

sounds like you were trying to import the zip file, not the product xml out of the unzipped zip file.

I just noticed this possible bug, when im looking at my transaction log in the usercp the users name of who had done the transaction is showing as Forum for all transactions.

stuff like bank transactions are done with the Forum. there should be two names posted, as long as one of them is a user, its fine.

thats normal - that column is the "from" user (the "to" user is implied as the owner of the log you are looking at...). arcade payouts come from the system, so its marked as Forum.

I have successfully installed vbcredits on my forums. Everything is working perfectly except it automatically resets all the points of every member to zero after a day. Could you please guide me how to resolve this problem? I really couldn't figure it out.

I LOVE this mod. How can I make it work with/in place of Gameroom cash? This is way, way more functional, obviously, but I really don't want to have two separate credits systems. Seems overkill, to me.

you can edit the gameroom config file to configue it to use credits. while you are there be sure to set to 0 the earning settings so that you dont get extra on top of what vbcredits does.

if you arent using paycheck, activity, birthday awards or the bank, lottery, you can just disable the vbcredits daily tasks scheduled task.

I've been looking through the files and there isn't a specific config, and I can't seem to figure out which variable(s) do the cash. Would you consider a paid request for a converter like you have for some of the other cash systems?

One more thing, I want to ask.

Users are getting credits for reporting post. I want to stop that. Please tell me the method..

there is not an automated way to undo lottery transactions, even if you were to take them out of the database, you have to unserialize and reserialize the array of users...

Ok now seriously, Vbcredits is working great, but I feel like there are bits I am missing, I would like to see more accounting logs for the add ons, such as game room betting , Arcade pass, play,Prizes and the lottery numbers and payouts no big deal while things are free, but the moment I start charging for something all hell will break loose if there is an error and I can't verify what happened.

vbcredits 2.0 is being written with tracking at the core. its also being made in a way that any number of these transactions are bundled and sent all at once to keep the database load down. currently regular awards are not tracked as they would be inserted in realtime, and potentially get huge.
