Also i would like the shouts to count as a message...in other words,to increase the members post count when he posts a shout.

does anyone have a list of commands? im looking for a way to delete single shouts, you know when someone slipped up and cussed. dont want to ban, just edit or delete. they use to have it in the archive of vbshout but not this one. Do i have to turn the archive/logging on for this? dont want to take it off, its got the function for sticky notices which is just what im looking for. Any help appreciated - great mod btw :)

There is a problem. The shoutbox will delete all the messages in the last few mins (like 5mins) even though I set the value really high :(

how to change time display in shout box. mine shoutbox has different time with board time.

Add the shoutbox tag to the bottem of the navbar template.

I can tell you how to have it run as a second hidden Chatbox on it's own page, but not in a specific forum.

For my main chat, I use Cyb's Chatbox (I don't know if this will work with others, but it should.)

I then pasted the
into the staffchat template & directed the Inferno shout to run only on the staffchat script.
Then I banned everyone but the staff from the Inferno shout. And Hid it from all but the staff as well.


I threw a link into the navbar like so:

Voila! Hidden second Chatbox for your staff.
Even if your members happen to notice the Staffchat Link in 'Who's Online,' they won't be able to see the Chat itself, as it's hidden & they are banned from it.

I would like a version where you can have a one to one. with, perhaps - a button in a users post, in their profile etc where another user can click on and have a 1-2-1 live chat with that user.

I have Inferno vBShout Pro 2.5.1 installed and after a while the shoutbox shows a strange message:

Loading ...

I tried to refresh the page a couple of times, optimize the database and ... still the same message appeared.

At the end I use /prune command to make it work again.

I've been using Inferno vBShout for some time (at least 6month) and never had problems like this before.

I think It could be a problem between vBShout and vbulletin version 3.7.4 ( with other 3.7.x version I haven't had this problem)

Does anybody else have this problem?

I know there is no real support for this anymore, but can someone tell me how to get it to show up on my page? I put the shoutbox template code in and everything and nothing will work.

we have 3.7.4 and when we install it it doesn't seem to work..... has anyone else had this problem or know what might be wrong?

This does not work using IE 7 as most of my users are using IE7 (Internet Explorer) 7
You can type and all but u cant see the conversation in the actual chat. Anyone else have this or is there a fix?

Is there anyone going to make an inferno vbshout for the newer versions of vBulletin? This is obviously the most popular chatbox in vbulletin by far. I have seen a ton of sites, including my own using this and it hasn't been udpated for months. The only thing i don't like about cyb chatbox is no idle feature so its eats up server load and the look of it. As i know many are wondering, is another coder going to pick up this project or one similar? I think the chatbox is the most important mod for many forums.

Well this shoutbox coder seem didnt care update anymore ! We all now into Vb 3.8.1 and my shoutbox starting show errors ..Like Shout cant sent out msg ...but it showup 1 min later .

So WHERE THE CODER FOR THIS SHOUT BOX ? Should we move to another shoutbox who provide help .

where the hell can I edit the script for "replied to the thread" as for some reason mine links to the wrong URL (misses off /forum - a common problem I have with vba cmps.)

if I can find where, in what script/template? it links to this - I can just add the /forum in manually to fix. (i assume)

there will not be an update for this shout box (most likely) as the coder is long gone so is his site so yea if u want it your prob gonna have to make it work yaself
