Since this is a 3.5.x thread and again are answers are going unanswered what makes you think that posting 3.6 inquiries here will get answered any quicker? You all could go to 3.6 forums to get answers.IMO

But to help you out a lil,you need to get lets say smartftp to make your server adding and editing easier. We all have a forums folder. Download smartftp. Its to me easier then editing via browser.IMO

you dont have to put n e thing its just IN CASE ...

didyou made sure to do the footer template edit? most of the time that is the problem make sure youp ut it at the right spot

Working great on 3.6

Would some one please tell me what I need to do to get pager messages pop-ups on
vBadvanced pages....Again I was getting pager messages pop-ups on those pages before I upgrade my pager. Thank You in advance

I've read through the peoples comments about going 3.6 and i have to say the pager still works great for me. The only problem i can see as mentioned before is the little icon in the posbit isnt showing up anymore. Does anybody have a work around?

I just re-applied the template changes, and they all appear :)

I've been using it on my forum for about a week now and i've only encountered 1 problem. The problem isn't with the hack itself - it's with my members. To put it nicely most of them aren't all that competent at figuring things out for themselves.

So here's a suggestion:
I've compiled my own set of instructions on how to use and customise vb pager for my members but im still getting questions everyday. I think it would be a good idea if they could find these instructions upon receipt of a vB pager message.

Is there a way I can add a clickable link to the inline "new pager message" popup window that will direct my members to the thread I have posted the instructions in?

Quick question for those that have this working.

I too have this on my site and am just curious to see how people have these item's set on thier sites:

vB Pager AJAX Check Period ?
vB Pager Display Window Refresh Period ?
Floodcheck - Minimum Time Between Pager Messages ?

I have mine set at 30, 50, 0...........sometime's it takes up to 8 hrs before i actually recieve the pager message......I can in no way, have a conversation using this system......It function's correctly as far as all of the page's and no error's, but you just can't use the system....

I have my Check period set to 120, refresh at 50 and floodcheck at 30. It's also a good idea to have them auto-deleted every hour. In terms of the slow operation, i had the same problem initially and fixed it by making sure that my forum directory was correct (for me it was "/vb/")

has anyone had any issues with installing this and 3.6. It all works great apart from one thing.....

What happens is I get text at the bottom left with the other symbols saying send vbpager message to person and not the little icon yet the icon is uploaded...

How can I fix that for 3.6 please ?

I finally figured out what to do....
Edit the Template/Style for the "Page" CSS.
Change the foreground color from white to black,
leave the background as "transparent".

That did it

is there a way to make it so the postbit icon doesn't show up unless they're a member of a usergroup that has permission to use the pager?

Sounds like permissions for usergroups.... make sure you have allowed vbpager to that usergroup....

Alright i'm not getting vbpager to work with 3.6.0.

The problem is that the person who's being paged doesn't get a popup nor does he receive it in his inbox. The sender can see the pager in his send items list but that's it.

I've tried the following things:

- Re-upload all files
- Uninstall product
- Install product
- Delete template changes
- Add template changes (and double checked if they were correct)
- Ofcourse i changed the VB pager options and changed the usergroup options

But still i'm having the same problem, does anybody know what can be the cause of this?

I have this installed but when I add the info to the navbar it doesnt line up andstart another line making the top navbar two rows wide. Also I have installed it shows the pm messages at the bottom next to the whos online it shows the quick messages under private messages and I cna page members and receive the pages. but the post bit thing isnt working and you cant reply to a instant message... any ideas
