Where do you want the button?? Like in the top of the forum similar to the positioning of the Vbulletin default buttons?

Actually I have the button where it needs to be but I would like to have a link category that blends in with the other categories in my forum.

I am getting this database error when I view links:

Database error in vBulletin 2.2.8:

Invalid SQL: SELECT * FROM gportal_weblinkslink WHERE catagoryid=1 AND valid='1' ORDER BY linkname
mysql error: Unknown column 'valid' in 'where clause'

mysql error number: 1054

Are you saying...

You'd like to have a Category IN your forum, which is similar to your other categories... Example Vbulletin.org...

They have categories on their main page (In Grey) which say:

>>>Vbulletin.org<<<
>>>Code Hacks<<<
>>>Graphics and ..<<<
Then you want one that says......
>>>Links<<<

*Of course, using Vbulletin.org as an example?

JakeC, I did something like this for my friends forum, the links directory appears as a catagory at the end of the forumbits

If its something like that, yes it can be done :)

Links that are added by my users are added without me Validating them, even though I have it marked for me to validate them before adding them!

What is wrong?

Go to your admin cp, then:
vBulletin Options->vB Links Directory (check if it to yes, if it is already then...)-> Save Changes, do it 2 times to make sure you did it right.

Then add a link via the site to make sure.

Has anyone had any reports of someone adding a link and it not "taking" it? Seems that I've entered some 2 and 3 times before it would validate in the admin cp... I've turned off validation for the moment... would a few of you today go and add your link to see if it accepts it?
