:ermm: Well, read step 4 of the guide and make sure that your Field is correct by mouse overing the edit button in the User Fields thang. Be sure the fields match, and if that dosent work, then maybe you installed it wrooong

Lovaboye 07-25-2002 03:03 AM

everythng works, i see the $ i just dont see the items, they are not shown

proxyMX 07-25-2002 03:07 AM

if its not fixed by the above, i dont know whats wrong with it, It should be something to do with the user field, EG, you may think that because the field selected is 5th from the top, that it would be field 5, however, if you rollover edit it shows you the true field number at the end of the url in the bottom left load bar. Mines was 8. This in theory should fix the problem, if not follow the whole of the procedure shown on the prev page step by step, that fixed the same problem for me,.

Lovaboye 07-25-2002 03:08 AM

that number only correesponds to the points/money, it doesnt do anything to if the items show up or not.

proxyMX 07-25-2002 03:14 AM

your right, im thiniking of something different,
If you have not deleted any of the categories, or customised it in anyway, i cant help you, all i can suggest is that you either,
Fresh install the WHOLE vbulletin board.
OR
Go over the code then follow the steps i provided.
Sorry :(

I have this hack installed with tons of other hacks and it works perfectly. No wonder Vivi is pissed off at this thread. Goddamn, read the instructions and it will ++++ing work.

For those who can't, put:
Code:

$post[items]
that in your postbit template! Yes that and only that! Maybe a <br> tag after, but all you need is that damnit!

If you mean show ALL of the items, look here as I HAVE posted the solution.

I have found if you delete ANY of the categories then create a new one in place of em, the items from the new category DO NOT show up. So what to do is simply delete all the items in each EXISITING category, and then replace them with your own custom items. Then if you require any more categories you can add em on, but you cannot delete any of the orginial four, it mucks it up.

Took me a while to figure that out, and i may not even be right, but i think this may be the problem for many, i dont know why that happens. Perhaps the Delete Category option should be ignored by all users until a fixed version is released

If you need more help on these steps or need other support please message me on vbulletin.org. I will be happy to help to the best of my v limited abilities, I know how annoying these things can be :bunny:

Its ashame the hack has soo many errors, its a great concept, Oh well, ill just use Lesanes exellente store hack.

edit: Added earlier post step by step fix to the post.
edit: Removed some more heated comments in reply to vivi's rudeness.
edit: Added secondary steps for fresh installers.

Dude.... LOOK AT MY ABOVE POST HERE! THAT IS THE FIX! DO WHAT THAT POST SAYS AND THE STUPID CUSTOM ITEMS WILL SHOW! DAMN PEOPLE! I SEE WHY SOME PEOPLE DON'T WANT TO READ ALL OF THEPOSTS BUT WHEN THE FIX IS ONLY 3 POSTS ABOVE YOURS..... GOD PEOPLE!

Now, let me go eat something and calm down....

The main problem that is bugging everyone is that

$post[items]

Doesnt show up on the thread, is their an alternate way of making it show up? Caue i can make a taable myself, i just need the info to make the table, since "$post[items]" isnt the correct item to put in postbit, does anyone know the correct item? Or just the info that enables the items box to appear?

This is truelly a great hack, i commend the author on ts behalf, but this problem is very annoying to alot of people, and whoever has fixed the prob should share the solution!

Well, if a user has no items, only a few 1 pixel transparent image shows up, think, think.

i cant beleive it, Everyeones ranting on about how i didint read the post, If YOU looked two pages back from your stinkin post youll see i posted the same thing i posted after your one. So clearly you didnt read The posts properly go back to page 14.

Btw thanks to whoever made the fix, sure its a great help to all the strife that has caused

What is seriously annoying me is that everyone is accusing everyone of not reading posts, when they are guilty of the crime themselves

Im going to re-install this, Hoping it will work properly, if it dosent someones gonna die, because ive just fine tweaked the forums, i will update the code with the fixes suggested by the fix.

Edited: I double Posted, sorry

Ok, anyways, I am not concerned about posts that are pages back, I am just mad when people don't read the fix that is in the long post right above it.

Yes, re-install it if you un-installed it. Great hack, especially with the fixes.
