you probably have some other css declarations with same name interfering

so what do i need to look for

at the bottom of the slideshow.php module you will find <div id=xx, the <div class=xx
those are what determine the display of the digits |

I am glad you got it sorted out. Me I am about to drop it. I am currently working on the ultimate slideshow. But that will not be released. Too much hassle.
