Phrase Manager is the place to change/translate any text used in my hacks.

I had to uninstall this shoutbox, it absolutely hosed my server. It's a dedicated and it ran my load averages as high as 29.67

This piece of instruction is not phrased: "Show ChatBox note bellow main box".

iv went all through this thread and seen many requests to have the message entry on the bottom or top but no solutions.

only one i found is darkfire and it causes a security token error for me, anyone have a fix for this, im really not a fan of the side by side

Read again, its in this thread,it changes to bottom enter box,its just a code change and works great

i am still having error with it of security token missing or mismatch

where to add these lines because i have put it

in cyb_chatbox_archive_bit at the end of the page but still not working so any one can help me plese thanks

In your Admin CP under Styles & Template select Search In Templates...

Search for: value="$session[sessionhash]"


In every template this occurs in add this line directly after the line containing the above, if it doesn't exist already:
<input type="hidden" name="securitytoken" value="$bbuserinfo[securitytoken]" />

Save the template.

Does anyone else have a problem with this refreshing besides me? Sometimes it will not refresh and I have to refresh the whole page.

Cybernetic, can you get it work on a CMPS live vBa?
Its really annoying that it shows the Leading Mesage, and i tried to include some more variables of the Chatbox, but still no success...
btw: i dont have vBa and vB ion the same directory, that causes the Problem :S

Any way to fix it?

PS: never mind, fixed it this way:

go to styles&templates>edit **your style** >open template "cyb_chatbox"

replace all misc.php with $vboptions[bburl]/misc.php?

use search function you will need it theres like 25 edits.

edit also

cyb_chatbox_archive_bit
cyb_chatbox_topchatters_bit

your box will display however new_post.gif will show a red cross thats because the settings in admincp under chatbox point to

images/statusicon/post_new.gif
images/statusicon/post_old.gif

changing the path will stop showing them in the forums, to solve that just make an image folder wherever you cmps_index.php file is or in the folder where your cmps_index file is or whatever you named that file.

public_html/images/statusicon/post_new.gif
public_html/images/statusicon/post_old.gif

note:with this fix it will also enable any page now where u add $cybchatbox
arcade.php, all_albums.php, albums.php etc....
note2: for custom pages still need to add the custom page name in "chatbox on"

Great Mod. I have two issues.

1) I have the same issue as James. On my VBadvances CMPS Home, the module is there, but is just says "loading". The module works fine on any other page that I enable it on.

2) the background color of the Message Text entry box is same as foreground, only on one of my sites. Where are the handles to change the colors.

I know this question has been asked, but i couldn't find an answer.
In Firefox it's working perfect, but on IE I got a little problem with the smilies.
Its a complete empty field , with the smilies on the bottom or completely no smilies.
Any Suggestions?

Is it possible to have the chatbox (not full) not show up, and have it open up in FULL in a seperate forum itself ?

BUG:
When you enable reversed order, it first shows in normal order, then on the first auto update it jumps to revered order.

Would you happen to have a codefix for this? I've made some mods to the layout of the chatbox and don't really want to have to reinstall.

We have been using this chat box for quite some time and works great. My questions is as follows; I installed this mod. https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=192184 it is so members can pick their favorite smilies to show up first. This mod works good in posts and replies but not in the chat box. If I change the order or anything with the smilies, it changes in the chat. When an individual member changes what they see it doesn't change anything in chat. Seems to me like the chat is just searching in a different area. Can this be set up so the 2 work together?

Just installed, worked okay but when I try to view anyones profile it displays that person as not yet being registered.

Any ideas?

Try deleting it and reinstalling the 3.8 verison, but, it still sounds like you missed one.
