This file shall not be in that directory, how have you uploaded files during the install ?? You should have keep the directory tree but seems like you haven't.

You haven't followed correctly the install instructions as I have said to many others in this thread.

You should have removed the chatbox files and then uninstall the product !

Now the only way to fix it is to remove old chatbox files (MGC Chatbox not MGC Chatbox Evo) and then rebuild bitfields manually by activating debug mode and then clicking on rebuild bitfields in the admincp.

Second question:

How can you get the 2nd channel use the same colour text as the general channel, without having to use the BBCODE function when posting all of the time?

I thought that I was following your instructions correctly, very new to this stuff. I had posted earlier in this thread and asked questions and was told not to have in separate folders within the folders that the files were to be in. Can you pm me please, because I really want this working correctly.

In AdminCP > Manage Channels > Information on the Channel >
If editing, say, the Team Channel:
In 'Name of the channel image':
just enter:
mgc_cb_evo_team without the _nosel_nosel_.

VBDev mentions this in his command install instructions.

i have a problem with this.On the default skin it sticks on loading but on another skin i have it works fine have you guys have any idea what could be causing this ??

One more thing...
If you've upgraded from the previous Chatbox V1.x, eg V1.5, you need to DELETE all of the old/prior files. That's absolutely necessary.
There's also a MGC Chatbox template that's created (in V1.x). I've yet to learn how to delete this older V1.x template; but, it doesn't seem to affect the new Chatbox Evo.

Okay. Assuming you're running V0.3.0, did you upgrade from a V0.2x, or any earlier release?
VBDev makes it clear that you need to completely uninstall everything then load V0.30.
And, you have turned on the Evo Chatbox in your usergroups, right?

make one more channel - now have 2 channels ... users can in usercp - edit options - make own colors for fonts and size for fonts also (mean for chatbox) but those works only in genaral channel not in extra channel...
how to get that works in both channels?

Have you turned on access to the Team channel for the relevant usergroups?
Also, in Manage Channels, under 'Channel command information' have you clicked on/allowed the usergroups you want to have access to the Team channel?
And, this could be a 'glitch' that VBDev needs to address.

Are you testing this using different 'test' people. I have different psuedo users that I log in as, one's a SuperMod, one's a Regular User, one's a Mod, and my Admin user.
And, you're right. It does appear that the Team channel only uses the default color (not a user's preferences) for, say, Team channel. Try putzing with that color if nothing else. In each usergroup there's a 'MGC Chatbox Evo: Default chat color.' Tweak that, see, if nothing else, if that has any affect.

It's not possible currently.

When developping the first version of the MGC Chatbox Evo, I have thought at it but haven't found the good way to handle it.

This is something I would like to handle but I won't handle it right now, it could take time before I add it to the chatbox.

I mean a user can select their default colour to post in on the general channel, but this isn't carried over into the second channel, even when setting it in the admin cp, there is no way to set it for the second channel.

Yes It is, this is just that I am a bit busy currently. I do vBulletin during free time which is not a lot this month.

I hope I'll be able to release a new version as soon as possible that would correct all the bugs and new functionnalities.

New question for you.

I want to use the /me in the team channel as well as the general channel.

However when I use the /me command in the team channel, it is displayed in the general channel doesn't display it in the team channel.

You just have to edit the command which is attached to your channel.

You'll then see an option which says wether you want the command to take into account the user chat chosen format or not.

I got it. I had renamed the directory for the admin cp. I renamed the upload folder to agree with what I had defined and it now works.

In one all was ok.
In the other ... no.
I can't change group permission, this is the error.

Hello!

have some problem with archives in extra channel (team channel) ...it show only first page and when click to another page(page 2) comes page from general channel... can only see first page from team channel in archives!
archives from general channel works fine!
some solutions or help?

have last version of mgc chatbox evo and vbulletin 3.7 rc-3!
