Hi, and can we (the website) make money from the Vbay transactions??? Or is it just buy/sell auction without any percentage coming to us?

Let me know how this could be used to make little bit of profit for the website that it is on. Because I need something to pay for my server costs!

I'm running mine free, I figure if it ever really takes off and people are using it like crazy...maybe start charging a fee then.

For now, the transaction between buyer and seller is conducted outside the vbay platform so I suppose you could simply tell people what the percentage was and try to collect it.

You may also consider a "membership fee" type thing where you only give access for people to sell on it if they give you a monthly bit.

Just suggestions though, hope that helps.

Everything that you have edited in the past that has the prefix vbay_

Ive never made any template edits in the past. Just uploaded the files and installed the xml file :confused:

I just installed 1.1.7 and have the "increments of a dollar" issue. I didn't have this with 1.1.6 on my dev site.

Is there something I missed on the install, or should I delete and go back to 1.1.6.

(note: started with 1.1.7 on my live site, so it was a freshinstall.)

Ive gone into the acp and located all the vbay templates, however its not giving me the option to revert them.

you need to create a category via your admincp

So I finally installed the mod. Looks great! I tried to add a test auction and filled every single step in. But when I got to step 3 it said:

"Make sure you have filled in all fields!"

Yet I didn't see an empty field. Any idea what I may have done wrong?

Also, i'm getting an error when the page loads up and I'm having a problem using my bbcode boxes.

I did a bid, then a both. As for shipping I did domestic. But the thing is, I put a zero in for shipping.

On my bbcode box, i'm unable to change the font type or the font size. The drop down list will not come down.

Those are not needed to be translated as they are being enteredinto the database and will not be seen by users.

I needed to translate them in my vbay... :confused:

But I had to enter an item for sale first for them to be seen!

Maby the php text that calls the translated text phrase is missing?

I was experimenting a bit with the lines you can see how it prints direclty from the database what the lines say.

Couple of small things:

Unless you fill out every section in the address - It wont let you buy or bid on anything. It dosent pop up with an error message, it just keeps re-directing to the edit address page.
Would there be anyway of removing "State / Province:" as this dosent apply in the UK.

Once yove purchased an item using "Buy It Now" - the item vanishes and theres no record of it under "My Vbay". Would it be possible to create a section "Listings Ive Won" with all auctions and Buy It Now's being shown there? It also dosent show under "Closed Auctions"

The other point was the PM for the winning buyer, however ive seen your working on that :)

In a future version, would it be possible to add a "Wanted" section? An area where people can list items their looking for and how much their willing to pay. Maybe it could have a comment section underneath the listing where people can reply.
Hopefully many people would find the above useful as well ;)

Edit: logging out of Admincp and deleting cookies fixes this, and opens up a vBay drop down menu.

I also put up a test auction, and completed it via BIN with no PM to the winner. Two people bid on it, and when one was outbid, there was a PM sent.

Also, how do you change the "vBay" text in the tool bar?

Also, BIN seems to be acting up. Had a user setup an auction, 110 opening price, reserve of 200, BIN for 300. I hit BIN, and completed the auction. Got a PM later saying the auction did not meet the reserve, however, the auction is filed under "Closed"

How about the pre-existing PM's that are sent when bidding or winning an auction? Is there away to include the name of the auction?

Also, bidding over the Buy it Now price doesn't end the auction, however, after bidding over, BIN is still available and doing that will end it properly at the BIN price.
