Where exactly will the steam icon be displayed (icon). I don't see any in the IM icon space on the postbit. Also, anyway for there be an option not being able to unlink your steam account?

@icon: Check this post (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost....46&postcount=2) and see 6) in the INSTALL section.

There will be an option in the next version, it has been suggested but it has to be dependant on certain usergroup rights and therefore needs a bit more time to implement.

Awesome, thanks! Can the steam IM icon also be hidden depending on the users choice?

EDIT.. The steam IM icon works now, but when I click it it it forwards you to the main forums rather than their steam profile. is this normal?

Is it possible to some how make a profile field import their steam id (non 64 version) to display on their profile?

@Disasterpiece,
could you specify the following:

Quote:

Do NOT uninstall the mod if you want to keep the linked users records. Upgrading means uploading the new product xml file for the new version and choose "overwrite" in the upload dialog.
The Installer will handle the update process by its own. Uninstalling the product will erase all the table fields which contain the steam link data.
Lets say I uninstall the mod...does this mean the users that used the steam registering option will be deleted?

The users won't be deleted, but:
- the table column with the steam ids and steam codes are dropped (=deleted), therefore you loose all the steam id data associated to your vbulletin users.
- if an user registered with the steam quick-register-method and hasn't set up a password, he won't be able to login at all.
- if he didn't provide an email adress, he won't be able to reset his password if he forgets his.

if you plan to keep the steam id records, just upgrade the mod instead of uninstalling and re-installing.
If you want to completely dis-integrate the mod, uninstall it and delete every user manually who hasn't set up an email adress.

Could you please clarify what you mean exactly? I'm not sure I get your question.

Planned feature for future update.

That's not normal. Please send me a link to your forum per PM where this problem occurs.

i think he want to show the STEAM_X:X:XXX format on postbit and profile page.
wich is actually the non-steam64 id.

i don't know why they suddenly named the proper "steamid64" "steamid" on their semi-public API and made themselve inconsistent

765611... on
steampowered API = steamid
steamcommunity API = steamid64

inside STC the handling is like:
765611... = steamid
STEAM_x:x:xxx = steam64
community = commid
keeping this in mind i just added
PHP Code:

$this->post['steam64'] = calc_steam_code(get_user_steamid($user_info));

to the "Add SteamID to postbit" plugin code.

now, in the theme you can show the STEAM_x:x:x id via
PHP Code:

{vb:raw post.steam64

Installed the latest vB update today, and threads are really REALLY loading slow.. Disabled the steam plugin (this one) and threads starts to load fast again. What might the problem be? Never had this problem before I updated.

Could you activate the Debug profiling plugin, load a page where you experience a slow loading time and paste the debug output into a post? I'd like to know which process is slow.

For some reason, it worked since yesterday again. No issues, besides the fact that the steam icon's still go to the forum home.

PS! Feature request.

Can the calendar of the steam group sync with the vB calender?

Also, 2 questions..

The "Secondary Steamgroup-dependant Usergroup for Steam-Users" feature with the steam groups, can it:

1), Set the display color to that group?
2), How do I promote people to the usergroup? I mean, which forum task manager runs it to check if the person is in the group?

-----------

EDIT:
After re-logged in and I set a "steam group" as well:
Quote:

groupID64: 103582791433124402, membercount: 1
+ Adding a usergroup, nothing happened. I still wasn't moved to the usergroup.
