Thankyou and nice job on the update :)

I was wondering, is there a way I could put a different banner between the tabs and the first forum for each tab? So each tab had its own banner or code pop up under it when it was clicked?

I was able to do this on the 3.8 version through editing the code on forumhome but I am not sure how to do it on this one. Any help would be appreciated.

Oh and the collapse button works on IE8 and FF.

Oh and I forgot to add, in a future version are we going to be able to be on one tab, then refresh the page and remain on the tab before you refreshed, instead of going back to the default one?

bobster65, thanks for the update. I just updated my forum with the newest version. Keep up the good work.

Post a thread in the modification request section, what you want has no relation to this mod.

ah crap.. I KNEW that there was something else I need to fix! gah! I'll try and figure out a solution for that tomorrow if I have time.

Did you test it in IE to see if it fixed the IE issues that you were having? Everything seemed to work fine for me in IE.

I'll wait another day :)

I just gave this mod a shot again as the old one didn't work right for me. This one seems to have the same problem for me.

Problem:

Categories are more than 2 levels deep, do not show their forums. So clicking a tab, shows no forums under it.

Here's an example of my forum hierarchy.

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2010/03/32.png

Anything at the level you see at the top, Warhammer, Xbox and DHV Events, will appear.

However, If I select any of the following categories:
  • DHV Game Divisions
  • Aion - Elyos
  • Aion - Elyos - Public
  • Aion - Elyos - Private
None of the forums:
  • Aion - General Discussions
  • Aion - Clan Announcements
  • Aion - Discussions
  • Aion - Crafting
Will ever appear in one of the tabs.

So in short, if a forum is deeper than 2 categories, they will not appear.

It works great.
And the mark forums read would be great if you would male it to work only in the selected category.

Bobster, I tried it in IE again and there are still problems :(

When someone makes a thread or post, it does not show up on the Last Post on forum home. Also, if a thread or post is deleted, it still shows up on forum home. This is on all tabs, including the All Forums tab. I found if I closed my browser and deleted cookies etc, they showed up but eventually it just goes back to the same problem.

FireFox works awesome but that damn IE is still causing the problems. With more than 70% - 80% of people using IE still, this is a major concern, I will wait for a future update. Crossing my fingers cause this is an awesome mod. :)

Can you PM me the link to your Forum so that I can see how your heirarchy looks like on default vB?

I just ran a bunch of test with both IE7 and IE8 ... I have the forum open in IE7, I have the forum open with FF. I post on the FF browser, click on the tab in IE7 and the new post displays. I do the same with IE7 (make a post), hit the tab with IE8, and the new post shows up.

Can you link me to your forum so I can see it first hand?

Thankyou very much for the help Bobster, I sent you a PM with log in info and url, in case you wanted to look that way. Feel free to sign up yourself with your own name if you want.

Just thought, in case you don't read PMs, here is the link www.uowforums.com.
