I have to PAY for the option to have users reply before they can see content? Is that correct? Because it wasn't like that before....which now explains why the hack isn't working for me...

That feature has been a paid feature of this hack ever since its coming into existence. Perhaps you are referring to another hide-reply hack, that may be free, but this one never was.

Make sure you have a legitimate 2.7.0+ expanded edition of this hack. There you do not need to refresh. But since the concern is about expanded edition, any support is to be carried over at visionscritps in the custom forums.
