I get it working within Internet Explorer but not Firefox, and I haven't tried it with other browsers yet. i.e. Opera and the like

I have just added one media and comment to your site without any problems using Firefox 7.0.1 . What version of Firefox are you using?

My fixes don't touch permissions.
Try revert all the files to the original one and install fixes step by step.

I also had 7.1 and it did not work, maybe one of my extensions, but , I just updated to Firefox 8.0 and it works.

I deleted all my ftp files to media library to have originally. I installed the 1.7: everything works fine.

It works with 4.1.7

After long hours of work, I'm glad to find my Medialibrary
