Hint: Don't forget to adjust your Journal Permissions (Usergroup Manager) after install!

go to your usergroup manager in there set permissions for all your usergroups. this is why you get a no permissions error.

Any detailed descriptions about this program and screen shots on how it looks once installed? Plus where do I download this?

In the main Journal page, it show up the Journal name, Last entry, count of entry's and count of comments. Can I add two more fields; one for the count of views and on for the last comment?

i guess kirby removed the views column... um lastcomment would be difficult as it isnt stored in the db.

A couple of questions please.

1. Should there already be moods included in this? If not can I just add my mood hack ones and should it show an image?

I seem to be missing some phrases such as journal_information and a few others. What would be the best way to fix this? Just re-install the plugin and have it overwrite itself? ... or?

i also have problems with the private journal feature it is also not working

I found an error with the journal when you set you SET your journal to "private" and then goto journal menu (journal.php) and click on any of your journal entry... it will provide this error:


Warning: Wrong parameter count for explode() in /home/xxxxxx/public_html/forum/journal.php on line 1449

Anyone else get this same error and if so, how do we fix this? This error only occurs if you set journal to 'private' and have either yourself or someone else view your journal entry.

Is it possible to post a comment directly from from the Journal Entries page? I am thinking to edit the template in such a way that the quick reply box appears just under the last entry.

So people can leave a comment without having to go to the commens page first?

I am not sure if this is supported and if it would work.

One more question:

I remember in the vbjournal for 3.0.x "Administrators had absolute permissions" to view even private journals. Is this changed or removed in this version?

perhaps you could replace the LIMIT from 1 to 5 in the sql query ..

Is there an eay way to upgrade from the Vb3.0.x version of this hack... we had it installed before and the journals entries and comments are still in the database... having looked at this code i've a feeling that its gunna break if i attempt to install it.

It didn't break mine when I upgraded from the 3.0.x to the 3.5.x version. :)

Ok, I don't know why in my Navbar, when I click on the Journals, there's nothing happen and it doesn't take me to anywhere. I know it is supposed to be a drop down list but I don't see any drop down at all.
Also in the Member List , it show : [visit_xs_journal], how do I fix it?

QUESTION

On the navbar menu, when I click the main one I see the Journal, when I mouse over it the main one goes away and the journal one opens, anyway to make the main one stay and the journal one open out to the right...

I feel a little stupid for asking this, but I don't see a screenshot or demo. Is there anything I can check out before installing?
