I even tried taking a modded game and re-doing in attempts to make it playable. I'm in the same boat as you... I need the process to "click".

To someone who has sucessfully modded several games: How long does an average game take to do? I'm curious how much work is actually involved....

Once you know what you're doing, I'd say on average it takes about 5 minutes depending on the program that you use. Of course, it is ALWAYS advisable to obtain the original .fla file from the game's author than using a decompiler.. :)

It takes some getting used to. I can spend anywhere from 1-9 hours modding a game depending on the fla. Most of it is tweaking, but I'm nowhere as good at at as some. I bought my Flash MX 2004 off EBay for $32. Strong recommendation....if you mod flash files without permission, make sure they aren't on a public board. I have quite a few I did that I can never share because I might get sued. They are for my own personal use.

Do you by chance have a copy of the actionscript that was mentioned in the prior posting?

The only actionscript you need is in the first post of this thread.. :)

It was previously an attachment, and the process was much more long winded than it is now.

hey i installed pacman, and i don't want it active yet, so i clicked not active, now i lost all options for pacman...i can't make it active, nothing...what do i do?

Seems like some of these games are mod. from the orginal & do not have the permission from author. I guess its up to u to install this.

The SWF in Beershooter has been replaced in the ZIP file to remove the delay when submitting scores. A big thanks to Coolman for the assist on that!!

To update, simply overwrite the old SWF with the new. No other changes needed.

Not possible unless there is some kine of install script that does it all automatically for you.
