This is wierd too, when you go to http://omanserv.com/forum/vbstats.php?action=topthreads or http://omanserv.com/forum/vbstats.php?action=topposters . You will see the tables in red and blue. I can only change the 1st row, but not the other rows.. any idea?

Second try here:

Hello Bane!
First of all thanx 4 this great hack.
But there are 2 Problems.
What can it be that the Pageviews doesn´t count.
All other Functions are ok.
And where can i modify the fontsize and font of the Refferersites??

kvk007 07-03-2002 04:47 PM

Hi again, when i am searchin for "more IP's" for specific user, i get this error.

PHP Code:

WarningAddress is not a valid IPv4 or IPv6 address in /www/k/kvk007/htdocs/forum/admin/user.php on line 1283

and when i looked at user.php on line 1283, i get

PHP Code:

    echo "<li>$ip[ipaddress] (".gethostbyaddr($ip[ipaddress]).") ".makelinkcode("find more users for this ip","user.php?s=$session[sessionhash]&action=doips&ipaddress=$ip[ipaddress]")."</li>\n"

Gary King 07-03-2002 07:53 PM

Excellent hack, Bane :)
I'm installing it now on a vB 2.2.6 ... any special changes I need to make to my files/templates?

Gary King 07-03-2002 08:47 PM

Error message that I get:

Code:

Keith 07-06-2002 12:34 PM

Hi all,

I've input my userID to exclude from referrals and such because I'm the admin, however I keep showing up as the Top Poster.

I need to exclude my user ID from the Top Poster list. How can I accomplish this?

Thanks in advance.

gabbs 07-07-2002 01:43 PM

:( The stats are great BUT I'm using it on NT and for some reason the Browser stats and operating stats dont work properly they just show all users using an unknown operating system or an other browser. Also how is the activity level worked out? is an activity of 1 on an average day? as mines 434.27.

Webmasta XT 07-09-2002 06:33 PM

how come I can't change the text size for the refferals page?? its too big :(

Massiel 07-10-2002 12:28 PM

I upgraded to 2.2.6 and now when I go view the stats all I get is a white blank page! Can anyone tell me (with a little detail) which steps I have to follow to get the stats to show up again? I'd appreciate a reply with some steps, I really don't want to mess things up...

Steve Machol 07-10-2002 03:37 PM

You have to run install_vbstats.php again to restore the templates.

Did anybody ever successfully get full URL tracking to work for this hack? I would really like to see that feature going. I searched through this thread for awhile but could not find anything concrete.

Did I miss it?

Bane 07-14-2002 06:23 AM

futureal, I have this working for the vb3 version.

futureal 07-14-2002 08:11 AM

I don't suppose that's anything you'd be willing to give out? (If so, PM me!)

I figure I could modify it for the current version. I am still learning PHP on the whole but I'm getting better. The more challenges, the more better I get. :)

I got this error on vbstats.php

Add the following to your phpinclude template:

include("vbs_counter.php");

Mystislav 07-16-2002 04:47 AM

Where's that??

FWC 07-16-2002 04:49 AM

Look in your templates and find phpinclude. Add that line at the bottom.

Mystislav 07-16-2002 07:22 AM

Sweet it works, thanks man.

Razgo 07-17-2002 11:25 PM

where is the install_vbstats.php ? I downloaded the script but no install file?

thanks.

futureal 07-18-2002 12:59 AM

Assuming that you downloaded the vbstats.zip from the first post in this thread, look in the \admin subdirectory for the file. It is in the archive.

Razgo 07-18-2002 01:48 AM

oops, sorry about that. I was trying to get the last10X hack to work, I ended up in the wrong forum.

Floris 07-21-2002 06:42 AM

I heard a rumour about a new version? What is true and if it is true, when can we expect a nice update/upgrade that has new features, better integration and bug fixes and works nicely with vB 2.2.6 ?

Gary King 07-21-2002 10:52 PM

I'd definitely like something like that, xiphoid, considering there are plenty of pages to read through in order to have a good working version of vbStats to work well with a vB 2.2.6 :ermm:

Renegade 07-22-2002 12:39 AM

All I get is a blank page when I run the installer. I have placed it in the root of my forums and outside it as well.

Any ideas?

Gary King 07-22-2002 01:16 AM

Hm well try placing the installer in the /admin/ directory..

I have no problem with the hack b&w, it has been working since 2.2.1

Gary King 07-22-2002 02:29 PM

Did the hack work with vB 2.2.6 WITHOUT reading through the pages? (Meaning that you only read the instructions contained in the *.ZIP file)

Floris 07-22-2002 02:49 PM

You could get a blank page, if you didn't successfully installed the hack 'out of the box'.

You could get a blank page, if you had it installed on other versions then 2.2.6 and then upgraded vBulletin, if this is the case, then goto the install file in admin/ dir and run the upgrade option. (you could maybe try that for the first scenario too now)

I installed it in 2.2.1 and since then with each upgrade of vBulletin, I have just manually re-applied the hack to the files and checked the sql adjustments if they were fine and run the upgrade script. I didn't read this thread or any of the posts because i had no complaints.

Gary King 07-22-2002 03:05 PM

I simply applied the hack on a fresh installation of vB 2.2.6.. and didn't work :ermm: so I didn't bother with it anymore, since it isn't a very important aspect of my board :)

DarkDraco07 08-08-2002 08:11 PM

DarkDraco07 08-10-2002 04:29 AM

www.darknemesis.com/forums/vbstats.php

succorso 08-15-2002 04:54 PM

I too am in need of help. I am getting the division by zero's error. I have tried following the thread to fix it but no such luck.

Take a look.

http://www.notcrap.com/forums/vbstats.php

Thanks,

Succorso

Mr_P 08-15-2002 04:57 PM

ok just installed this on 2.2.6 and works fine.

now not sure if any support is been given to this as its an old hack now.

But what i want is - i have vbindex (top hack by NTLDR) and would like to call the Top Forums/Threads so it shows on the main page with it.

i have tried $topthreads1 but nothing shows any body know how to call these in.

I get lost when told to use a global command etc so any help for a newbie ??????

as these are sort of stats a portal page is made for.

marc49 08-15-2002 05:17 PM

ok, I can't find where to put the "exclude url list" in the admin CP,

I have looked and looked, but I just can't find it. It's probably right in front of my eyes, I just can't see it.. PLEASE help..

I am running 2.2.5 by the way

also for the life of me I can't find this code in the admin/index.php

[quote]<tr><td>
<table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2" id="navtable">
<?php maketableheader("Stats & Logs"); ?>[quote]

so I couldn't add that custom field, maybe that's my whole problem to begin with :(

Mr_P 08-15-2002 05:28 PM

lo m8 if u have added the links to index.php (one in the admin section) u get the links down side like this

VbStats
VBStats Config
View Public Statistics
Exclude vbStats URL

as u can see what u want is listed under VBSTATS

succorso 08-15-2002 05:54 PM

Still can't figure out what's going on. Here are the errors

mine was done same way as this post m8

sorry not much help

marc49 08-15-2002 06:43 PM

ok, I figured it out thanks to reading 50 pages of threads.

The install file (specifically the admin/index.php) should really be updated for the versions of 2.2.5 and later

succorso 08-15-2002 08:02 PM

Yea, me too. I figured out my problem after only reading 20 pages. Finally found the phpinclude template buried in the control panael, styles, modify templates. It was VERY confusing to us former UBB users.

Succorso

threadcrapper 08-16-2002 04:44 PM

followed the instructions --
worked on the first try vb 2.2.6 fresh install

one thing i did find (could have been from a previous hack)
in the optional file hacks - changes to admin/index.php
find:
<tr><td>
<table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2" id="navtable">
<?php maketableheader("Stats & Logs"); ?>

mine looked like this:
<center><a href="index.php?s=<?php echo $session[sessionhash]; ?>&action=home"> Control Panel Home </a></center>
<table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="<?php echo iif($cpnavjs,2,5); ?>" id="navtable">

other than that -- easy install -- works great!
