Fix: Fixes an issue where in some cases content were revealed before the required buttons were clicked.

Just upgraded to 1.1.9 and I still can't use hide BBcode to require button pressed to reveal content. And I still can see hide BBcode as text, not BBcode (that's difference from pro version, that works fine).

The Hide BBCode is a Pro-only feature :)

I've just tried installing this on 4.1.6, however It's not working for me.

I followed the readme to the letter, but after installing the product, there's no DBTech - Post Thanks section in the admincp navigation.

Any ideas on how to get it to install correctly?

ozzy47 09-24-2011 09:10 PM

Make sure you are set to super administrator via config.php

Sorry, I know that it works in Pro version and it was before in Lite version. Didn't know you removed it from Lite version altogether.

DragonByte Tech 09-25-2011 06:11 PM

It has never been a feature in the Lite version :)

In v1.0.0, it was "all the content" or nothing, but for (I believe) v1.1.0 we added the HIDE BBCode for Pro-only.

Alan_SP 09-27-2011 07:29 PM

Ok, but I thought it doesn't work only on certain forums. And that there's a bug that you at least recognized: http://www.dragonbyte-tech.com/f52/h...html#post28301

On the other hand, as it works in pro version and as you offer many options in lite versions of all your products, it's fine with me. Actually, sometime I think you could offer even less options in your lite products, they are so feature reach.

DragonByte Tech 09-28-2011 01:51 AM

The issue you linked to was fixed in v1.1.8 or v1.1.9 (I forgot which) :)

Please ensure you have uploaded all files to their correct locations, and ensure that in your Plugin Manager, you have a "Global Initialisation - AdminCP" plugin set and enabled.

Marios858 10-01-2011 07:43 AM

I try it my friend but its still remain the problem , the plug-ins its already enabled and the files replaced again.

Regards Marios.

DragonByte Tech 10-01-2011 01:58 PM

Is your admin_global plugin not found in /admincp/global.php?

Also, check that APTL's admin_global hook is active.

Marios858 10-01-2011 07:57 PM

Its all seems that its enabled i cant find the problem, what if i uninstall the plugin and re-install it ?
Is the statistics of like - thanks of members gone ?

Regards Marios.

MNNLeafre 10-02-2011 04:09 PM

It's showing up for admins but not for other members

DragonByte Tech 10-02-2011 04:11 PM

Please check the permissions for each button in the Button Manager.

Fillip

MNNLeafre 10-02-2011 04:16 PM

Haha, DUH. Thanks! :)

Marios858 10-02-2011 07:48 PM

I uninstalled and i installed the product , the problem remains , all thanks in all post and like has been lost.

DragonByte Tech 10-02-2011 09:11 PM

Try disabling all other mods, if that doesn't work either then there's sadly nothing more I'm able to do, as the problem isn't in APTL itself :(

Warning: array_merge() [function.array-merge]: Argument #1 is not an array in [path]/includes/class_bootstrap.php(1315) : eval()'d code on line 86

This error shows and is on a white screen after refreshing the forms, then the forums showup but the error is on top of the forums.

I tried using the search this mod but nothing worked on the errors. Is this mod updated for 4.1.6? I changed the template back to default, and the only product installed is members who have visited

DragonByte Tech 10-02-2011 11:53 PM

Your vBulletin installation is broken, it thinks it's running vB3 which is why you receive that error.

There's nothing I can do about that unfortunately :(

Thats bad news. I have not done anything major besides installing the forums and mods. Would reinstalling vB work? I followed the vB manual for installation, not sure how I can break. Or just not use the product?

DragonByte Tech 10-03-2011 12:12 AM

I don't know how to change the internal vBulletin version, though I suspect other mods may use similar techniques to me for checking version number.

Fillip

Alright well thanks for the help. I have decided to try out the 4.1.7 beta 1 because I have not started anything that I cant afford to lose. Looks like this version address bugs for the vB core. So, im going to disable all products/plugins and upgrade and see if the mods will work.

daBIGKAHUNA 10-04-2011 01:41 AM

So - I thought I had it installed correctly but it seems I have a problem-

When I hit the like button for a post it says "not found" next to the post. Can anyone tell me what I did wrong or what I can do to fix this?

DragonByte Tech 10-04-2011 02:24 AM

Please re-upload all files exactly as they are presented inside the upload folder - it sounds like thanks.php is missing from your main forum folder.

Fillip

Well here is what I did - tell me where I went wrong or what I missed:

I downloaded and unzipped the file from this site

From the upload folder within I Uploaded as follows:
  • thanks.php - from the AdminCP folder on my computer to the AdminCP folder in my forum directory
  • The complete dbtech folder from my computer to my forum directory - CHMOD'd the reference folder within
  • All .xml files (bitfield, cpnav and hooks) from the includes/xml folder on my computer to the includes/xml folder in my forum directory

Once this is done I Imported the product-dbtech_thanks.xml file from the XML/VB40 folder on my computer - now when I hit the like or thanks button I get nothing

DragonByte Tech 10-04-2011 03:32 AM

You appear to have forgotten the thanks.php file in the same folder you found those folders :)

I guess that's the problem, I'm not seeing a Manage Buttons option here, only the "general options". I don't see the DBTech Post Thanks tab on the side either, I can only find options for this mod in Settings / Options.

Should it be found on the side, or in settings/ options?

Thanks.

PS, I've also CHMOD'd my folders to 777 in case that's the next question. I've uploaded and reuploaded everything twice just to make sure I'm not missing anything.

I keep going through the install steps to see if I'm missing anything, pretty simple:
Upload the files
CHMOD to 777
import XML
...is there anything I'm missing?

I do have the DBTech user tagging mod (pro) installed, could this be causing a conflict? And I do see the DBTech - User Tagging button on the side in admincp, but no thanks / like button. I've reinstalled it now 3X. I'd LOVE to get this going soon for a photo contest we are trying to host.

Thanks.

EDIT - SOLVED! I had to be logged in as super admin, or add my username to the config as admin. Thanks!

mikebeam 10-04-2011 03:20 PM

The like button is not showing up anywhere? It displays under users name showing how many thanks they have but where is the button to thank them?

Edit: OK I found button but when I hit it to thank a poster it shows up not found? Any help?

Solved: I was missing the thanks.php file, I though for sure I had uploaded it :/

mikebeam 10-04-2011 07:33 PM

What version of IE are you using, that is something I have not heard of before, or am able to reproduce.

As per the Feature List, that's a Pro-only feature :)

hello I installed it on vb 4.1.7 and get these errors :

Fatal error: Class 'THANKS' not found in /home/******/public_html/forums/vb/legacy/post.php on line 242

when i select "show all posts from this user"

DragonByte Tech 10-14-2011 02:41 PM

Where did you find that link? I can only find "View Forum Posts" and "Find Latest Posts", neither of which have this error.
