no , you do not understand , my forum got hacked and a person here on the forum sad it might be because of this add-on/hack , so i came here to ask the developer of this if its possible or not

so do not uninstall anything until we hear what the developer says :)

I was showing the member bizoptic how to fix his problem. This was not meant to fix any vulnerabilities, just the size of the Notifications box. This large box is quite annoying but I have not seen this problem on a default vb skin. I do not know if this hack causes this problem but the large Notifications box can be found on some pre-made skins.

@xhells21, I am glad it worked for you but if your Notifications box size was ok, you did not need to do the changes. At least if you run into this problem you will know what to do. Good luck with your problems xshells21.

@Bizoptic, you can also fix the large Notifications box with CSS in the 'additional.css' template but the way I showed is the easy way to fix the problem.

I want to display the stats in showthreads.php and forumdisplay.php.

I try adding SHOWTHREAD and FORUMDISPLAY in 'Show Stats in templates (comma separated template names)' option. But the stats doesn't appear.

Where did I do wrong here?

I think you have the .png files in that directory.

You will need to change post_old.png and post_new.png to .gif's

Just make sure the images in that directory are the same name, with the same extension, as you see in that link.

NO, there is no need to change PNGs to GIFs.

Ensure you have latest version of product installed and none of product templates are modified.

the stats works only on the default skin and refuse to display(refreshing) on any other skins

I have a forum where all the newsfeeds coming in are posted by a user I set up called NewsPaperBOT and rolled to news forums.

the problem is these news posts are taking over the NEW POSTS window like below.

Is there a way to DISABLE a users' post from showing up in NEW POSTS or a way to at least limit it to 3 per forum or something?

AdminCP - > Settings ->Options -> VSa - Advanced Forum Statistics

There are two options which you can use:

Forums excluded from stats (List IDs, separate with commas)
Usergroups excluded from stats (List IDs, separate with commas)

I have installed this mod and am having a little issue. When I scroll to the stats box it says the top posted forums. If I click one of those forums and count the actual posts in the forum they differ from what the stats box says. What am I doing wrong?

The default vbulletin code use forum cache to view forum statistics and this mod has two options to show top forum statistics if you enable hot forums timecut it will run a mysql query that will return the reply count by calculating the post counts from post table and left join thread table on post's threadid then left join forum table on thread's forumid

And the other option will return the replycount directly from forum table and this is accurate considering that you have moderated posts in post table when you use the 1st option :)
