I can't seem to steal points.....how does stealing work?

Some of you guys have reported problems that makes me think the upgrades aren't going as smoothly as they should of. I'm going to release an RC 3 when I get back from vacation that will have in the maintenance table a section that checks to ensure all tables are in the database and all columns have been added properly. That should massively help some of the reported bugs by running that.

And Mike007 it appears you found a tiny glitch where it is not reading the decimal places correctly. I will adjust this for RC 3. :)

Hi Mayhem, I am also getting "this user is not worth stealing from" and he is ranked #1 in points with over 4,000. How can we steal from him?

I upgraded and now I can't see the points int the postbit any more ...

Point me in the right direction please.

Will there be a version where the admin can select which individual items can be purchased by certain usergroups?

I want my normal users to use this too, but I don't want them to have all the features, such as change username color. I only want my VIP members to be able to change their username color (and some other things).

I think you should add option "Expire" for Market Item.
Ex: Item "Change Color Username"
It change to Red ... after 30days, it return to initial :)

upgraded to 2.1 from 2.0.1 and now none of my users icons show up under their avatar. New purchases still show up though. Doing the maintenance things as shown in the readme do not help. Using vb 4.0.4.

I have a some problem that I want to ask:
- How can I set refundable function for products ?
- When users purchase gift, can they manage their gifts ? Do they can delete, hide gifts ? If yes, how to do it ?

And created one store item, but when i click the item in my board..i get this erro:


My database uses a prefix on tables...but the script is not inlcuding the prefix.

How can i fix it?

I installed this yesterday and I must say that it is excellent! It's made a big difference to the forum in 24 hours, so I'm very grateful for the mod!

However, a few things:
*Firstly, the "Colour thread" option isn't giving users a thread ID to colour and won't let them refund themselves. Is this something from my end or a bug?
*Second up, I have things such as bold, italic and underlined post text, custom user title etc enabled outside of the Points Market, but also have them enabled as possible purchases. Does it create any problems/matter? I.e. can someone change it without the purchase?

Sorry for the double-post, a users just been telling me of some more problems.

He's bought 6 items today, but it's only showing up as two on the Market homepage. One of those is also coloured thread.

Any ideas?

When a gift is purchased, a notification is sent, telling user to look in the Gift Market section for more details. Nothing is shown there though, am I missing a setting somewhere?

And me again, feeling slightly stupid.

Found out what the coloured thread one does now - not what the user expected! It's also applied the change forum wide and seemingly irrevocably - the result being that all my threads are coloured orange.

Please help revert this!

Okay I am now home from my plane ride :) With that being said I see you guys have been doing a lot of little bug finding, which is good. RC 3 will be released this week, sometime during the mid week. I gotta split my programming time between this and vBcredits for Pixel so it's kind of half and half right now. Below are my answers.


Which six items did he purchase? I believe the Admin CP has a user transaction purchase updater under the maintenance section which recalculates for situations like this. I will definately look into it though after I see your reply and fix whatever is occurying on RC 3 but letting me know which forum items &/or store items (need to know which) will help me.

I believe your talking about usergroup permissions, the answer is YES I will be implementing that. Possibly before I dub 3.0 a gold release.

That's a poor written phrase on my part telling the user to purchase the gift section for more information. I am going to update it on RC 3 to tell them the correct info related to the gift donation to clear up the confusion.

I made a poor mistake when releasing 3x on how I named the Color thread option, I will add something in the maintenance section to revert thread colors on the next release and change the forum item name to Color Threads instead of Color a Thread. It's only supposed to color the threads of that user that they post and not color all threads or just one thread. It'll be corrected in RC 3.

Regarding the first quote, the six items have dropped to five as I have removed manually the purchase of colour threads in the hope of fixing the problem, but it didn't work. So the five forum items are Gift Market Access, Gambling Access, Custom User Title, Purchase a Gift and Username Glow. There are no store iteams. I've run both the transaction and refund maintenane scripts and it has made no differences. Also, Gambling Access is showing up as the most expensive item (Which is it) but is saying it's not been purchased when it has been purchased twice.

Regarding the second one, any ideas when that will be released? Just that it looks a bit awful at the moment! Thanks for the fix, though.

just re-bumping my question about the 'shipping' dropdown. Could you possibly make a 'no shipping' option or something so members dont have to fill out an email or fill out their address and such. I'm just selling virtual items, so both of those things are irrelevant

I have not been able to buy anything yet because when i do, it gives me a database error. What i'd like to know though, is where do your store items you buy show up at? Is there a screenshot maybe of this? I was hoping maybe a page that acts as a gallery maybe with each item side by side or something, and maybe something in the postbit. Can someone help me see a screenshot please? Thanks!

You know what, after the upgrade they don't show in the post bit for me either.

everytime i try to buy something, it gives me a database error so i cant ever buy anything. I'd just like to see what the screen looks like that shows all of your bought items right now though

Like, per-item usergroun permissions. So usergroups 1,2 and 3 (example) can purchase Change Username Color, but usergroup 4 can't. etc

Forum Items can handle virtual items for sale? You can create custom gifts/items which will be placed them under Gifts. I've created virtual items under Custom Gifts which will show up in Market Items Once created they will show up for sale in Forum Items.

I had to play with it a little bit to get the flow, but once I noticed what was happening it seems to work fine. When a virtual item is bought it is placed in the users profile for the amount of time you set in the Points Market:Gifts Maximum Gift Age field under the admincp.

So basically Forum Items are for virtual items and Store Items is for tangible items.

When I try to set it up so people can buy points, I get an error stating I must enter all information. I am entering all information... lol. Ive triple checked. Has anyone else has this issue?
