Method is create a new category and then a forum below it, then use the category for articles. |

WOW! I've been looking for this for ages. Finally found it. It even has module for VB advance. Wow!! Installed. It's impressive though I have some suggestions:
1. I'll wait for the "Allow multiple article forums". 2. Is there anyway to have the normal forum display style instead of article page? Like when user clicks on one of the article forum, instead of redirecting to article page, can you make it so it will go to normal forum page? Because the thing that I'm interested is the thumbnail display in Vb advanced mainpage and thread thumbnail!!!!!! I like your mod so much. Thanks! |

how do you show how many views an article has had ?
|
Thank you for the suggestion. I managed to have the thumbnail display as posting icon in forum itself, but still looking for the individual mod that can display thumbnail on front page with vBadvanced. Great mod here!

Why guests can't see that? :S

Hi.
I have installed this mod, all works fine, but I view that, when I go to Articles, the Title os my site its only "Articles". For example, now, in this page, the title is: "Article Forums - Page 60 - vBulletin.org Forum - Mozilla Firefox But in my site, the title is: "Articles - Mozilla Firefox" Not appears the name of my site. It's possible solved this or change some line for change this? Thanks and regards! |
is there anything i can do to show how many views each article has had ?

After first installing this, it caused our inline attachment images to go to links. I started getting complaints galore. After figuring it out, I disabled it and attachments came back as inline images. I already had vBulletin Options -> Article forum Options -> Full Size Attachments -> No I tried changing it to Yes... no help... and then back to No... still no help. Again... this is a serious bug and people need to be warned who desire to have inline attachments. Uninstalled until this bug is fixed... it is too serious! Btw... You have a PM, but you can continue to ignore it. I hardly want a buggy plugin. |
Wow, this solves a huge mystery for me. Is there anyone who can fix this bug pleeeeease?
|
how could i remove the article word in navbar(remove it completely not just replace it) ??
|
Navbar Link = No
Another thing I noticed about this mod is you cannot subscribe to a category to get notices when someone post a new article... unless I am missing something. I can subscribe via the Forum Manager since I am an admin... but regular members cannot subscribe. |
is there a way to create a youtube thumbnail for the article.php and cmps? I added the BB for youtube, it works but it shows in the full size in the preview
|
Hey bananalive... can we get a fix for the attachment bug? I would be willing to donate if you do that that fixed. It's no good for anyone if it ain't fixed.
|
banana is died. I asked a question but he do not care to people. Cuz, hes died.
|
Oh banana... where you at... are you alive?
Oh banana... we miss you... we hope you survive! |

Lmao!!! :D |
Not sure if this has been covered...and I apologize if it has.
For the Article Postbit in the Admin CP of this mod... If I set "Use article postbit instead of default?" to Yes then the article fails XHTML validation. If I set it to No, it passes. Now I know you may care less if the page fails W3C compliance, but there are those of us who feel this effects how search engines see your site...and it actually does. Now...there are only 14 errors, but I'm not one to try and hunt down the errors. I mean...I do what I can, but I don't want to change anything that may cause issues to this mod and our forum. Is there any way someone here can give me a little guidance as to where I can edit the article postbit for this mod? I appreciate any help... |
bananalive... I know you will read this. There is clearly a bug in your mod here as noted by several users. You seem to be real johnny on the spot with your other mods, but are completely ignoring this one. If you ain't gonna fix it, at least be courteous enough to tell us so that we can hire someone to create the mod for us where it will function properly and vb.org can send this one to the trash bin.

Edit plugin "show_thread_postbit"
like this PHP Code:
|
BTW: May someone has an idea why i cannot recreate my thumbnails? Maybe this is because i have them in the database and not as files?
Anyway i look now for this part of code: PHP Code:

I add this to a test board...I love it..Awesome addon, Thank you
|
Installed, THANKS!!!! : )

I had tried before. The only thing I notice, almost every plug-in conflicts. represents and the great outdoors.

Needing some help with some code:
I am wanting images imported from a thread to follow the format of af_articlebit. But, with BBCode on, it doesn't work. Here's the code: <if condition="$thread['altimage'] && $thread['image']"> <div style="float: left; padding-right: $stylevar[cellpadding]px; padding-bottom: 4px; max-width: 100px; max-height: 100px; overflow: hidden; $thumbdivstyle"><a href="showthread.php?$session[sessionurl]t=$thread[threadid]$thread[highlight]"><img src="$thread[image]" alt="" border="0" style="max-width: 100px; max-height: 100px; width: expression(this.width > 100 ? 100: true);" /></a></div> </if> I'm thinking the <if condition="$thread['altimage'] && $thread['image']"> is the issue. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks. |
This is a very long thread so I hope no one minds if I ask a question that may have been already been answered.
I like this mod, but when you click on the article forum from the main list of forums, it gives you that "Redirecting........" message, before it takes you to the articles forum. It doesn't do that when you click on the tab "Articles" next to "User CP", but for some reason does so when you click on it from the forum listings. Is there a way to change this so that this doesn't happen when trying to navigate to the articles forum from forumhome? The slight drag of "Redirecting...." can be a bit off-putting in what is an otherwise fantastic mod. Any assistance is appreciated. thanks. |

Blind-Eddie/Mr. McGraw, thank you so much!! I really appreciate it.

Another question regarding this mod.
Currently, this mod pulls the text in the article preview section from the non-quoted text in the first post. One can have a very long post, but if it is all in quotes, then it won't show in the preview portion on the article forum homepage. Is there a simple way to change this so that when it does pull from the article text for preview, it will pull from the quoted text as well? Thanks. |
