Something weird going on on my board.

I've been using this mod for quite some time now, and I've never seen this before. A couple of times, someone has thanked another member and this appears:

The Following 4,294,967,295 Users Say Thank You to (user's name) For This Useful Post

(I've replaced the "user's name" here.)

Now I don't have +4 billion users, and after removing the user's thanks - the statement remains under the "thanked" post.

I can't seem to replicate this anywhere. It's only happened a couple of times.

I'm using Thanks 7.6 on vBull 3.71 PL2

Please help. Thanks!

<MG>CP 06-24-2008 02:26 PM

Odd, installed this and it seems to be showing up everywhere except for the button to actually do the thanks. We upgraded today to the new version (of Vbulletin) and still no button. I tried both sets of instructions when the simple import failed. Any ideas why the button to thanks wont show up?

Still have the two thanks buttons. Any proposed solution?
Thanks

Check that you have this mod declared only once.

ACP -> Plugins & Products -> Manage Products

Ensure that the "Post Thank You Hack" is listed only once (and not twice as per version) !

Hope this help :)

leannet 06-25-2008 10:30 PM

2 upload to your ftp and the other one uploads on your site

GraNdMaStEr-B 06-26-2008 01:20 AM

Any ideas on this?? It keeps happening. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm now using 3.7.2

LisaJH 06-26-2008 09:31 AM

the picture for the thanks has broken!!! How do i add an new thanks image???

leannet 06-26-2008 10:04 AM

Do you mean the button?
If so do it in ftp I will come on msn and help you out.

g00gl3r 06-26-2008 09:14 PM

When I add a thanks, the system seems to add the box under the said post, yet doesn't add my name. But if I go out of the topic and back in it'll show the name.

It's confusing members as when they thank a post that hasn't been thanked the box will appear but their name doesn't appear in it.

Is anybody else having this problem?

I have VBSEO installed too.

munnakv 06-26-2008 11:03 PM

Cool. My users are going to like this. Thanks.

deneme2 06-27-2008 02:28 PM

thanks

<MG>CP 06-28-2008 02:17 AM

FYI, ignore this. I reverted my templates (from Google ad code hack) per other threads I read then restored that code afterwards and it works.

My forum is 3 weeks new. www.allnursesunite.com I have 60 members so far and everything seems to be going very well except with the Thank You buttons. My members specifically asked for "Thank You" buttons. They appear at times and at other times they don't, usually they appear to some members but not to others, then the next day some of the members buttons re-appear and other members buttons disappear. Does any one have a clue as to what the problem may be. I am a novice with a forum so simple language works best. Thanks!

comicus 06-28-2008 05:22 PM

the "thanks" image/button does not show up in the thread. I have uploaded it to the appropriate folders as well. Any idea why this is happening? Thanks.

I have not upgraded my forum to 3.7.2 yet.

I am going to in a few days.

How and when do I upgrade to the latest version of this hack without losing all of the data I already have with the older version?

I think i see the problem. There's a half naked man hiding inside your monitor. He's probably corrupting your files! =)

How do I get it to show like this on my forum.

Maybe something next to the Thanks button in the PostBit, warning them when they have (for example) < 10, < 5 and 0 Thanks left to issue.

We limit our forum members to 20 Thanks (and 20 Groans) per day - they can be an unruly bunch - and occasionally get "bug reports" that the forum is broken as a member has gone on a Thanking spree, which is why we have the limit! :)

Thanks.

I think my feature request may have got lost in the wave of "how do I get it working" posts... :erm:

Tapage 07-02-2008 03:50 PM

I already install it and function perfect .. thanks for that ..

I'm not sure what this means .. ( leave as default settings for now )

This sets whether to use Markup usernames when showing who thanked a post. This can slow down a page load slightly.

Someone can explain it better to me ?

My forum seems to be a little solwer since upgrade from 3.6.8 to 3.7.2 so don't want to make it more slower ..

yahoooh 07-03-2008 12:58 AM

still wait blog thanks addon

RedGTiVR6 07-03-2008 12:33 PM

installed! worked perfectly!

A tiny feature request: would be nice to be able to turn on and off the statistics in the postbit & postbit_legacy via a setting in the AdminCP.
(in the mean time, I've just cleared out the "post_thanks_postbit_info" template, hopefully it won't cause any problems.

I cant create backup

Invalid SQL:
SHOW CREATE TABLE post_thanks;

I agree. This would be a nice option to implement. My postbit legacy block is getting a bit bloated, after all.
