First, excellent hack, well done.

The problem I am experiencing is that, in the vbulletin blog component, when someone posts a URL, (youtube for example), in the blog snippet it only shows the youtube URL, not the embeded video. you don't see the video until you click on that specific blog entry title. so most people click on the URL in the snippet and it takes them off of our site to the youtube site.

Is there a config in passivevid or somewhere in vbulletin that will change this? I have tried increasing the max lines in the snippet with no success.

Tryed to install this mod passiveVid_112.zip in our ( vBulletin 3.6.8 ).

At the first step of trying to Install Product XML - upload the XML file from our computer.

I just installed Release Candidate 1. Works fine with YouTube videos. Haven't tried any others yet.

Nothing working on RC 1 for me especially youtube..I can not wait till you fix it for 3.7...This is the Mod of all mods...Great work buddy :D

Hello. I am running 3.6.8 and I get the top part of the passivevid settings in vboptions but not the bottom part. The part where you choose the forums and custom replacement, etc is not there.

Maybe something is interfering? I've tried twice to install it and the bottom part does not install.

This is great, but what do you do if you used a previous mod that used BBCode? All of my videos are showing up twice in a post. I previously used Viper's YouTube & Google Video.

Is the previous hack a plugin or are you using straight bbcode in the posts? if it is a plugin hack you should be able to disable the plugin from the plugin manager. if it is just bbcode turn off bcode in the admin CP. that should fix it I would assume.

I would try to disable any previous hacks vs. uninstall/delete them until you know it works.

This is an awesome hack, great product indeed.
But I'm having a problem, and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. If I post the you tube URL then, the URL exactly as posted is displayed on top of the video, instead of the title of video. Weird.
What am I doing wrong? Does anybody know?

Same problem here... Yahoo is enabled on the passiveVid control panel, but a video embed frame doesn't appear.
