Nix have had disaster with trying to alter the settings from database to file, keep getting error messages saying that the server dosnt have permission to write their, even thou i have altered the chmod to 777 & tried to turn safe_mode on. I recently tried to attach a file via data base opption and it just uploaded it as a link to down load not as a playable link as it dose do when you use the media, big blue M button with remote stuff, what am i dooing wrong? I did this btw with safe_mode off as it will not turn on.

Right I managed to turn safe_mode on a simple fix by just creating a ini file and turning it on, wich resulted in the same error message of my server has not got the permissions, having since found out my server dose not support 777 chmod! What other way round this is their? do I have to have my attachments in a sub public_html file or can I not just use the database to store my files, mps flv wna local files?

The text is just the title of the video. Its the same link as the image. It doesn't take you off your site unless you have js disabled. It should pop up with the video. If you dont want that feature, uncheck use new style in options.

You don't have to you can just use the default media tag. You also don't need to use it. You can just paste the link and hit reply. I think that's what you're asking about.

The anymedia_header wont get added by the plugins to the headinclude. Its probably its because of the missing hook. I use 3.6.4.

Me again wanting to mention that wmv still doesn't work correctly. If fact it's worse :(
I upload a wmv file to my site and try and run it using the default with no other parameters. I have attached a scren dump. Also clicking the "M" icon show has this link and does not show the clip. "http://mysite.com/Forums/showthread.php?p=28924#" which as you can see only redirects you.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Any help would be great :D

Remove the other hack or use the old style in anymedia Options.
Redownload the file and upload files and import it again. I fixed that right away. That krumo function i use for testing.

tried adding the autostart flashvar manually in the templates. not working. did you do something special on the mp3 player portion? Doesnt look like any of the flashvars are being read other than the music url.

WMV files just do not play. Get invalid module type errors when trying to play WMVs.

Other than that, super job.

Can't get it to work. I download the latest version, imported the product uploaded all the files and the image doesn't appear on the Reply box and the media tags do not work. I don't understand what I did wrong. Can you maybe make a text file detailing the install. I think I upload the files in the wrong spot but I'm not sure.

There is a text file in the post up top. Just upload the files so they match your forum directory. Import the product. Goto usergroups and it will rebuild permissions. If you want to use attachments do the template edits. If not just post a link and hit reply.

I've just installed. The mod seems to be running great. I've done numerous test posts, many videos from YouTube, one from Metacafe, a few from Gametrailers and the mod seems to handle them all quite well. Only complaint is that sometimes the media opens directly, not using the flash player. Other than that, great mod and I can't wait for the final product.

if it opens directly its your browser. It need javascript to open if you use the new style.

even with the old style options it interferes with Highslide install

not the answer i was looking for and not good for members with Highslide installed

but still a good hack i will continue to run anymedia 3.0.7

Well this hack also uses Highslide. So not sure what I could do.

You don't need AME installed if you use this. You can just disable it to see which one you like best.

The problem with that is that it would change it for all users. But if people want this I can.

any quick shortcuts to get autostart to work in MP3's? I tried hacking the templates and put the autostart flashvar into the template but it refuses to obey. Any suggestions?

I'll look at it today and give ya a fix.

to the template and it shows up in the html -> source on the page. Just acts like the player is not getting the var.

My next step is to hack the player flash source to always auto play and I dislike flash so I'll be extremely grateful. :)
