1. problem with the description of the auctions.
When i make a new auction the script cut the description, but when I edit the auction is the completly description ok.

2. I wanna do that the shipping is Zero, but the script dont accept this, how can make it that accept Zero or nothing (empty)

What its wrong in my Modul?

This is happening to me with the upgrade as well, everyone that used to be able to sell can no longer do it, including myself. I am the owner :)

I have the groups set up correctly and they haven't changed since the last version

It would be nice to see in future releases the ability for Sub Categories! ^_^ as well as the ability to organize categories once they have been created. as well as category icons for categories.

and deffinately looking forward to having paypal integration and trader ratings. as well as maybe an option for users to trade items?

i'm having issues with this module. once i create a test item in a category and click on the category it redirects me to the main page of my forum

After reading all this thread and listening to what Blaine says.... We have set this hack live tonight....There are one or two small bugs but it is working great for us and I am more than confident that when He releases this as a final release...It will be one of the best add ons ever released.....(no disrespect meant to any other coders)

Ok well I just installed v1.1.6 on my forum (v.3.6.8).

I did a search before posting this and came up with nothing.

EDIT**Maybe I am a complete newb here but I cannot seem to figure out how to add a category? I checked in my admincp under the vbay settings. Nothing there, someone willing to help me out?

I figured it out, solution:

For those of you having the same problem, log out of your AdminCP, clear your cookies and log back in. This should bring up the dropdown menu that I failed to see before.

Also I am getting a

only on my "Sell" portion of the page, but from what I found during my search this is related to me not having any categories. Correct?

Lastly, how do I go about changing the vbay title that shows up under the forum tree? (forumtitle >vbay> browsing categories)

I want to change the vbay to the title of my marketplace.

Any help would be appreciated. Great hack thus far, I just hope I can get it to work 100%

As for the phrases, i must not have added the bitfields to phrases. next version!

@redpoint thats pretty odd, ill look into it. Go into your admincp and hit vbulletin options and verify your ywsiwyg options.

Any word on the sellers thing? Nobody can sell on mine after the upgrade.

I'm pretty sure the settings are correct.

In admincp, there will be a Vbay menu.. most likely up the top.. you can add categories there.

If its not there, right click in the frame where your menu's are and refresh..

Next version will have phrases fixed, for everyone thats having an issue not being able to post auctions even though you are in the usergroup, make sure you have reverted all your vbay templates! (to do this go into your admincp, expand the styles and templates category, and click find updated styles, everything with the prefix vbay_ should be reverted!)

Reserve bug, can now be left as 0 or blank instead of bugging out.
Redirect bug, when you create an auction you will now be redirected to the auction you created.

I also have the description only partially being posted, must edit after the auction has been posted to correct it.

After todays upgrade, no notifications are being sent, and no record of who bought the item :(

You seem to have missed on of the steps in upgrading
check and redo the following
1. reupload all files contained in the upload folder, maintain directory structure, overwrite all files
2. import the new xml file via admincp, check to overwrite previous installation.
3. revert all templates (this is the main cause of many problems). In the admincp expand the styles and templates menu, and click find updated templates. click revert for all templates with a prefix of vbay_

If you are still having problems post and ill see what i can do.

Hello Blaine, I tried to revert the vbay templates, but none of them show any customization and the "revert" button is shaded out/inactive. Do I still need to revert those templates ? If so, how would I attempt that with the "revert" button not being clickable ?

are you lookng at the templates in the 'find updated templates' page or in the vbay category of the templates page?

Hi, I checked first in the Vbay category, then after seeing this (above) post of yours I checked the "updated templates" option and that doesn't show any vbay templates either :confused: the only updated templates that show are "MEMBERINFO"

ok thats fine then, have you made sure you imported the newest xml and updated all the files?

if so check for a phrase named vbay_pm_i_bid
tell me if it exists

I just searched in phrases for vbay_pm_i_bid and found it, in Global phrases ?

p.s., I tested the upgrade using Opera, if that makes any difference. Also, yeppers on the updated xml, new version uploaded over the old one, product manager shows updated 1.1.7 file.

it shouldnt, you say you arent recieving pms when auctions close am i correct?

Test auctions (buy it now) yesterday on the 1.1.6 version generated the automatic pm. We only ran one test auction today after the upgrade to 1.1.7 and there was no pm sent to either party. I'll check it again in a bit but the one auction we ran had no notification and when the item was purchased, the auction closed without any record of who purchased it.

Okeedokee, I just ran another test auction, buy it now, if the notification pm doesnt show up in ten minutes I'll let you know.

edit :

Buy it now auctions without a bidding option end without showing any record of the winner.

Buy it now auctions with the bidding option will leave a record of winner when there was an initial bid placed before the buy it now option was used.

No pm's on any of them.

and by record of the winner you mean the high bidder?

Yes, the completed auction page says "auction completed" (from memory, I may be a word or two off) but does not show who purchased the item. I do have the options set that high bidders are visible.
