Thank you for the update :)

I really like your hacks :D

kimmie-99 10-23-2007 09:57 AM

Ok I am a TOTAL NEWBIE in regards to Vbulletin, but alas, I am the admin and creator for a site for a bunch of folks and they'd like this to be put in place!

HOW do I do this? Is this a style that I upload? Thank you!

Paul M 10-23-2007 10:02 AM

Nope, it's a product you upload using the Product Manager. See the vbulletin documentation for more details on products.

"Unzip the XML and import into vB using the ACP Product Manager."

Ok, go to your Admin Control Panel, then to Plugins & Products, then to Manage Products. On the bottom, you'll see Add/Import Product...click that, then browse for it on your computer, and import it. Piece of cake! BTW, all of Paul's modifications are this simple, so check 'em out!:D

Thanks - I did look at the manual and found it! LOVE IT and my users are beyond tickled pink! (they are rather easy to please sometimes) :D I'm looking at other goodies now! This is a totally new learning experience for me!

Thank you and thank you Paul!

wii 10-24-2007 02:33 PM

Works well, can I change it to show the last 48 hours instead of 24 ?

Paul M 10-24-2007 03:09 PM

Not unless you edit the code and phrases.

wii 10-24-2007 03:18 PM

Ok, where do I edit the code exactly ?

Thanks

Paul M 10-24-2007 07:33 PM

The answer is already in this thread (probably multiple times). Have a read backwards or try searching the thread.

LouiseDM 10-24-2007 07:38 PM

installed and works like a charm

thanks :)

wii 10-25-2007 05:57 AM

kiennt718 10-25-2007 08:44 AM

Dear all,
How can I alter the order of display?

1. Display Names
2. Most Ever Members

Paul M 10-25-2007 09:57 AM

You can't, there are no options to do either.

I think reversed display order is more logical.
Because the table title is "Members who visited in last 24h", and it should list these members first, following by 'most ever users' record "x at y" :)

Mr Chris 10-25-2007 04:06 PM

Holy Wow That was easy.. This was my first upgrade. Thanks !!

Gigavol 10-27-2007 10:20 PM

Installed.

Help! On 3.6.8 (L1) I upload the XML and it is successful (and enabled). I do not see any options under vBulletin-Options in the Admin CP and the forum does not look any different. Any ideas?

This behavior is consistent with all mods I try and install.

Thanks for the help!

Gigavol 10-28-2007 02:18 AM

Installed.

Does the data I enter into Product Mgr need to match what's in the XML file?

And here's a crazy question: After I upload the XML file, will there be a record in the "Plugins" list/manager for the product I uploaded? vBulletin support loaded a product to establish the product mgr was working on my forum, and there was subsequently data/records in the plug-in mgr now.

Thx,

G

Gigavol 10-28-2007 03:07 AM

Okay. I got it. The trick I did not know was to complete all fields on the import screen and make sure those fields matched the data in the XML file. That made it work.

Paul M 10-28-2007 10:28 AM

I have no idea what you are doing, but you don't need to touch any fields on the import screen - they are for creating new products, not importing them.

BobbyBig 10-28-2007 03:46 PM

We are using this Plugin since a long time, but I recognized that this is eating alot of server cpu. If we disable it, the home site loads twice faster. This for sure is also because of the vbseo, but even with member profiles not rewritten, it still eats much cpu.

My Question to you:
The User display should be static and only refreshed every X minutes ( ~10 minutes ). This eats nearly no cpu and it is still actualized. If you could integrate that function we really would be greatefull for that Paul M.

best regards

Paul M 10-28-2007 04:30 PM

The reason it takes so long on your forum is because you use the 24 hour option and have well over 1000 (almost 1500) names to list. I suggest you disable the name listing in the options.

We allready know that this is due to the many users listings.
You didnt answered on my question if this function can be added.

Paul M 10-28-2007 07:18 PM

No, it will not be added.

TigerWare 10-28-2007 09:54 PM

Awjvail 10-29-2007 11:50 PM

Is it possible to make it so that this modification saves the people who logged on every day? I want to have a log of people who were online on a specific day.

I love vbb and hacks cos they are so easy and quick to config and install , great job PaulM!

Dream 11-03-2007 11:57 PM

Thanks for this, I was still using the 3.5 version.

haytham 11-09-2007 04:38 PM

One problem. My banned user group ( group 8) is still showing although I put it in excluded list. Any ideas?

haytham 11-09-2007 04:40 PM

Oh..I see..the Usergroup List is for groups allowed to see it not for members not to be listed. Well, I hope we get an option later on to exclude certain groups from appearing like banned members. Thanks.

Mr Chris 11-12-2007 04:51 PM

I have this product installed everything looks good.. yet .. if you click on any names the links are dead. I suspect this has something to do with php vs php5.. Usually I have to go around inserting 5's but i still cant get it to work? Any Ideas?

Thank you!

Paul M 11-12-2007 08:12 PM

If you use php5 as your extension then the links will not work unless you edit the Display_Visitors and Display_Visitors_User templates.

Mr Chris 11-12-2007 09:12 PM

Wow that worked perfectly!! Thank you very much!

FoxSmith 11-13-2007 12:27 PM

Thanks so much...........;)

Neutral Singh 11-18-2007 02:49 AM
