Hi,

have a problem with Flash Files. Somebody has posted a Flash on my Site, and everybody who opened this Thread are forwaded directly to another Site.

For me it seems like a script, which is included in the swf File, which is doing an automatic forwarding.

does somebody know, how i can prevent such kind of Flash's ?

Did you

1. disabled the permission of your usergroup?
2. turn off anymedia bbcode system?
3. custom the bbcode tag name?

My one "complaint" (and hope for 3.0.4) is that Google video uses the real Google player or only requires one click to play.

Thanks Crist for one of the best (and best supported) mods on this site.
You got my vote for mod of the month.

Emmmmmmmm,
okay,
I'll make it.

as far as i know,
there's no way to prevent it,
except to disable swf file.

Stone Cold 3:16 06-01-2006 01:58 PM

Youtube isn't working for me.
It used to but today it stopped.... it says 'Failed to load YouTube' but I know that the videos are the right links...

Help?

tappedout 06-01-2006 09:59 PM

I can't get this to work! sometimes it shows the media file but most of the time it just shows the code. I can get the google one to work, and the youtube but If I try to place just a random vid in there or a flash file I can't get it to show up! Help please!

Are you possitive that you are using the right video location or URL?
Maybe you're not putting [media][/media] or something. Didn't mean to insult your intellegence. :)

But yeah, YouTube only works about 1/2 of the time.

phkk 06-02-2006 01:54 PM

The New Version seem good but I have very wierd problem.

Here is the problem:

Version 3.02 is working fine for youtube and google .vv.vv

after upgrade to version 3.0.3 I am starting have problem with youtube video.

Any YouTubeVideo I used to post under version 3.0.2 getting WHITE PAGE. ( google and other seem work fine). Refresh didnot help. I tried 4 computer before I make them work again. I have to edit the post and look like they are start work fine after I edited the post. But I have 5000 thread withyoutube video to edited. ( not going happen )

I used template cache, I rebuild the plugin and delete all cache

When I make a new post with version 3.03 . The YoutTube are working Fine.

I have to roll back to version 3.02 and the youtube is back to normal.

I guess the problem came from the flv and youtube player thing.

Dermo-MIO 06-02-2006 02:21 PM

why isnt there instructions to upgrade from 3.0.1 to 3.0.3 ? just to 3.0.2

I have that SAME problem.
Any updates on this?

Shoxer 06-02-2006 04:28 PM

Okay.... if you delete players/youtube.swf Youtube no longer works AT ALL.
But if I don't then it works... but I still get this 'Failed to Load YouTube' screen on it.

Really frustrating...

Edit: Also... the media player says 'Any Media Player Version 3.0.2' still.

utw-Mephisto 06-02-2006 05:31 PM

AnyMedia uses JavaScript to embed media,
but the normal innerHTML function (what's used by vBulletin's AJAX inline mod) did't make the script run after you edit the post by Ajax way.

So I suggest that vbulletin custom a innerHTML function to make it possible.

Just refresh the page after you edited the post.

Crist 06-03-2006 01:41 AM

To phkk and Shoxer , and ones who met this issue:

keep the youtube.swf in your server if you used it in 3.0.2,
and i think it caused by the cache of vbulletin system.

Josh_J 06-03-2006 02:35 AM

I had it working and all for a few days, now starting today all google video links say "Error: Failed to parse file URL." Going to the url itself is valid, strange eh?

dan35 06-03-2006 09:29 AM

weird, playing fine on Firefox, but not on IE.

zooki 06-03-2006 12:09 PM

Hi i thought it was working, but now i get the following error:

Error: Failed to parse file URL.

[media]http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-2513799563610037677[/media]

Crist, all i really want is to be able to embed Google video into my posts, what other way is there to do that?

ChiliVB 06-03-2006 12:31 PM

I'm still seeing the white screen of death with the google videos with version 3.03. If you get lucky you can refresh three of 4 times and it works.

I've cleared my local browser cache, tried making new posts, etc. Nothing seems to help.

Everything else seems to be working just fine.

Im also getting this after the recent update.....

Tralala 06-04-2006 12:23 AM

Well I'm gonna stick with 3.0.2 until this is sorted out then!

Crist 06-04-2006 02:58 AM

Google changed it way to embed videos,
I think I should add a option for you to post google video with it own player,
and that'll solve the prob.

Working on this now.

:)
