Hey
I have a question..is there any way this can come over my flash header? I have a flash header and pager messages keep going "under" it and get mesesd up. Let me know please, thanks.

получилась трабла что некоторые юзеры просто так теряли трафик даже при отключенном крыжике в опциях юзера (сидя на платном диалапе это плохо)... один фиг делались запросы на сервак... и я придумал деактивировать инициализацию скрипта... целых 5 минут думал ;)

короче если тут кто знает русский плиз переведите это всё... спасибо :)

Does anyone have an answer yet as to why the pager doesn't work accross styles?? If you send a page to someone who is on a different style then you they will not get it. Huge shortcoming to the hack.

This is a major flaw that I can't believe nobody has worried about yet. Because of this you have no idea if your message ever was recieved.

would love to help you but i have about 14 styles give or take 3( i am not going to count them) and I have NEVER had this problem lol.

double check your edits and make sure that your permissions are right....?? make sure all the gifs are in the right spot...

not trying to belittle you....i did have problems getting it work in the start and these are steps i had to take. just offering up what i did.

That's good to know. Up til' now you're the first person to even say a peep otherwise about my question :) I'll take a look at everything again, it's just strange that it works but not accross styles.

Not yet....... I've been busy all night with "off hours" Change Requests" from my job :( Hopefully later I can backtrack all the steps. However, I'm not too optimistic, it didn't seem that difficult of a hack and it is working just not between styles.

did anybody figure out why its crashing IE? our members loved this hack but i had to disable it because of the crashes...... its a shame, please let me know if there is a fix for that..

never had that problem either.....i use IE 6 and it's fine for me....are your users maybe using IE 7 or something that isn't supported by vbpager?

i use IE 6, my explorer only crashes when i log in and recieve a page, that a user had send to me when i was offline, the pager box will popup and then my explorer crashes. i had heard that other users in this forum had the same problem.

im usin this usefull modification from 3 month ago till now with no problem
but now my board traffic is gettin increase and i have about 200 members online

Pager Messages will not be received immediaty, after refreshing(F5), and after hard refreshing(CTRL+F5), and after many many hours, same issuse!

my navigation bar says that i have "X" Unread Pager Messages, but when i click on "Pager Messages" after some minutes ill get "Time out" error ( My Server is OK ! my vBulletin is OK too! )

same thing will be appear when i want to Paging someone, after clickin and poppin-up the page, same issue! after many many minutes ill gett "Time out"

seams the pager.php script doesnt response my browser requests!

Any Idea/suggestion is Welcome!

This isnt a problem with the Pager System. What this is saying is profileviewpermissions doesnt exist in the db. Did you delete a hack recently that included uploading something into your INCLUDES/XML folder. If so, delete that file in the XML folder and this will solve your problem.

Hello. I installed vB Pager and did everything perfectly. Everything seems to be ok except that when I open the Send pager box and I type in that the coursor keeps on going back returning to the beginning of the line. So effectively I cannot type anything in the Message box. Please help.

Ok I fixed it. I thought the Maximum Count = 0 means it is disabled. But it is not. Yu have to enter a figure there.

I really need one feature. I am a teacher and I want it to work as a two-way communication between the admin and the members but not between members to members as I cannot afford the server load and bandwidth. Now when I disable the Send Messages for the registered members, they are not even able to reply back to my pager. I want an option that the Admin can page the members and the members can page or reply to the Admin only but members cannot page other members. How can this possible? Can you please guide me what code to change and how? Thanks and awaiting your reply.

First off, awesome hack. clicked installed.

but i did want to give the administrators unlimited size for posts so i set it to 0 to disable. 0 does not disable the size limit. it makes the max characters actually 0. every time i hit a character it would auto delete.

just as an FYI to change that in the usergroup settings "Maximum Characters Per Pager Message:
(set to 0 to disable)"

take out that "(set to 0 to disable)" in future versions.

I really like this product, and so do my users.

I have one problem, which I cannot resolve, after viewing the templates.

When viewing the screen of "Pages/Messages", and all "page/messages" are listed...
we cannot see the text of any message... all we see is a white box.
But if we mouseover and hilight it we can.

This suggests the font color for the "page/message" text is the same as the
background color for the "page/message" box. (in our case, both white).

How can I change the font color for the "page/message" text
for this particular facility ?????

Note... when actually sending a page/message, all is fine.
It is only when viewing all your page/messages that my problem arises.

Problem for me....Need some help please.
The images do not show up in either IE or Firefox. In IE I get the little red X. In firefore I get nothing, no image or "X" telling me there is suppose to be an image.

I have uploaded all images as instrusted from statusicon to statusicon folder. I have checked and rechecked many times, and even uploaded several times.
But still no images.
I log in as admin and I log in as member but no images appear no matter what.
Please give me some more ideas on what to look for.

Also my forum is actually located at http://www.stargazerschat.com so I have pager set at http://www.stargazerschat.com/.
I also tried it without the trailing slash but still no images.
The pager works.

I have PMd the author of this but have not gotten a reply.

I can not get the VB pager options in the UserGroup Management area in the admin cp. All files are downloaded and templates are updated, but I get the error that "Sorry, you are not allowed to use vB Pager!" I know that is because I have to grant permissions to access the VB pager but there is no options to do so in the admin CP. I have reviewed the pictures posted here and I do not have those VBpager options inside the usergroup section.

I am running version 3.5.4 @ www.xxxmurder4hirexxx.com/VBulletin
