It can be disabled in product options.

If swf is not linked itself this would add link to the small triangle beside banner.

I read all 15 pages, and can't figure out where to upload my banners onto my server. What is the folder I should create to store the banners?

Upload banners just like you upload forum files.
It may be done using ftp client, cpanel's File Manager, etc.

Go to your forum root, create new folder, name it "vsa_banners". Put your images here.

Then go to Manage Banners page, add your banners to the list, set links, durations, dimensions, etc.

This is the best image rotatot mod .
But I have a problem. Runs perfectly with Firefox ... but with Safari only the first Logo opens the link, the other it doesn't work .

Very nice addon. I have been looking for something like this for a while and at finally found it.
It was a bit confusing to setup but at finally after 30 min it's working as it should :)
I only have one question how can i make it working on the main page of CMS?
