Does that means it supports private message attachments too?

No, this version of Quick Editor Improver not support Attachments for Private Messages, because of this is not a standard capability of vBulletin, but you may use another hack that made up for this feature while you have using Quick Editor Improver, so I think for this issue, you will should apply some little changes on the templates.
