What you want is already built in. Choose "Alternate location" for automatic postbit alteration in Activity Display Settings. This is assuming you're using a horizontal postbit. If for some reason, the JS doesn't work, there is a file in the zip file detailing how to manually add the mod to your postbit after turning automatic alteration off.

i tried choosing alternate location, but the display didnt move.
but let me try out the description in the attached file. should i face any problem i will contact again |
wetwired, i am sorry but i wasnt able to understand how to accomplish what i mentioned in my post above, even by viewing the attached description. for a non technical person like me it was very confusing. could you please guide me what to follow?
thanx |
Assuming you're only using the horizontal postbit, go to the bottom of that file, where it has the heading "Manual postbit modifications." You'll want to do the modifications for "postbit (alternate location)". You can open your postbit template for editing from the style manager, clicking the <<>> button next to the style to change, then finding the postbit template. Find each find section in the template (the template editor's search function my be of use), then add the insert block above or below that section as indicated. Click save to save the changes. At first, you will have the activity info in both places. Go into activity display settings and set Automatic postbit modification to none to remove it from the old location.

ok thanx. i managed according to instructions.
but the location after these changes is some what odd. so these are the two template changes that i should do i mean change their location and see where it gets displayed? because i still didnt get the block displayed in the middle of the horizontal postbit. it went to the extreme right of the postbit.:) thanx for the guidance. |
Hmm, so it is. It's been a long time since I've had a forum with a horizontal postbit so I'd forgotten it was on the right. For the second insert, instead add it below
Code:
$template_hook[postbit_userinfo_left] |
Hi,
For some reason my users are not being promoted once the "promotion criteria" is being met at any level. Do have any suggestions where I should look? I have tried running the "Do Memberlevel Promotions" job but it still doesn't work. Thank you |
Have you checked the users additional groups? The promotion system does not change their main group.
Also be sure you're entering the numerical ID of the group (displayed in the drop down on the right side in the usergroup manager). |
Hi great hack I just have one problem. After installing the hack my adminCP left nav menu collapses and will not stay open. The "Save Prefs" link at the top does not seem to save the menu to the open position. Is there any way to solve this?
|
Hmm. I'm not sure why it does that, but it seems to only do it if the activity settings is expanded when you save prefs.
