I am having a problem.

When I reversed the message chat order(newest at the bottom), every time the chat box refreshes, the line jumps up to about 5 or 6 above the newest posts. This hides the very newest posts from the normal view.

Is there anyway to fix this? My users are very annoyed by this.

The weird this is, my work computer(IE7) doesn't have this problem. Just newer browsers.

Hey

I'm pretty new on vB. I have version 3.1.6 of this mod and I can see that developer added a new update. How do I update to the newest version ? What are the steps ?

There is a small trick.

Create an html widget and insert the html code. that's it.

for vBadvanced CMPS:

Create a new template (for example: adv_portal_chatbox) and then insert the html code
then under-vba CMPS: Add module (module template) and then integrate the new template (in my example the adv_portal_chatbox)

For me it works without error. After creating the widget for the CMS, you can do it for the show off again in the forum. You will need the HTML source code of the chat box. You see with your browser - View> Page Source on "Forum Home".

I write it in German - perhaps it can translate someone who is not so bad in English as I am:

Die Chatbox im Forum (Forumhome) anzeigen. Anschliessend mit dem Browser im Forum den Seitenquelltext anschauen. Danach nur den Teil des HTML-Codes von der Chatbox kopieren.
Jetzt kann man ein HTML Widget erstellen und dort den Quellcode einf?gen. Wenn man alles richtig kopiert hat, kann man danach in den Einstellungen im AdminCP die Anzeige f?r das Forum wieder abstellen. Geht eigentlich relativ schnell. Kaputt machen kann man da nichts. Einfach ausprobieren.

Einen Nachteil hat das ganze: Wenn man sp?ter irgendwann mal neue Smileys integriert oder welche l?scht dann stimmen die Pfade in dem HTML-Widget nicht mehr. Dann muss man also per Hand die Pfade im Widget l?schen oder ganz einfach den Sourcecode nochmal kopieren.

My friend gothi, don't work.I don't know where is the error, but i see the original forum's page with smilies (inclunding header and footer) inside chatbox !!!!!!!!!!!!!! :eek::eek:
