Thanks for your fast reply. However I think I found a way of meeting our requirements without any modification of the php code. (which makes it easier for futher updates). I will try to change the templatecode only.

Thanks!

I love this hack, really, I do. Thank you very much, Paul M, for coding it.

Wondering if it's at all possible to have it omit certain usergroups from appearing though. I have a usergroup set with limited privileges, and I don't want them appearing in the list until they move into the Registered Users group.

Paul M 05-14-2006 10:19 PM

Sorry, there is no facility to omit usergroups as that would defeat the basic purpose of the hack. The best you could do is set them to hidden, then only mods with permission to see hidden users would see them (they are still counted).

No prob, thanks for the answer. When you say "hidden" do you mean set their "Invisible Mode" to Yes?

Gehanna 05-14-2006 10:48 PM

Installed.

Very Nice - Thank You for this.

Sincerely,
Gehanna

any reason why this might suddenly display in a vertical patteran as opposed to horizontally. One name per line vertically. It was fine yesterday, I tried reimporting it but no change

Paul M 05-15-2006 03:31 AM

I just visted your site (meogee.com) and it looks fine to me.

dan35 05-15-2006 06:16 AM

Is there a way to turn off option 5?

5. If you 'hover' over a username it will show the time they were last active.

Thank you!

Paul M 05-15-2006 12:35 PM

No, there is no option to turn that off.

RemiAlone 05-15-2006 06:44 PM

http://www.xtremedownloadz.net/forums/index.php

thanks

Paul M 05-15-2006 08:38 PM

That seems to be due to your usergroup markup code, you have a mixture of divs, spans and font tags, for example ;

HTML Code:

<a rel="nofollow" href='member.php?u=111' title='03:12 PM' ><span style="font-weight: bold;">Headlackey</span></a>,
<a rel="nofollow" href='member.php?u=88' title='04:36 AM' ><div style=width:50%; font-size:14pt; color:white; >hypr69</span></a>,
<a rel="nofollow" href='member.php?u=2' title='08:22 AM' ><b><font color="red">Incrediblehawk</b></font></a>,

Mikecp421 05-15-2006 08:47 PM

oh ok, that screws it up? Whats the solution? Take those html markups away? cause I have it also on the other forum, www.meogee.com, and that doesn't occur. As a matter of fact that forum has always had those markups.

Paul M 05-15-2006 09:21 PM

Fix the markup - if you look at the second example, you start with a div, end with a span, clearly that's not correct.

Quote:

<div style=width:50%; font-size:14pt; color:white; >hypr69</span></a>,

Mikecp421 05-15-2006 10:04 PM

ahh ok, I didnt do that markup of course the other admins there did, I will try that, thanks

Mikecp421 05-15-2006 10:08 PM

ok that was it, thanks alot

bizpro 05-16-2006 05:02 AM

Mikecp421 05-16-2006 10:08 AM

There can be many causes - the most common ones being a broken hack somewhere stopping the hooks working, or you having a custom FORUMHOME template - but there is no real way to know without proper investigation - that requires admin access to your site.

Hawk7173 05-23-2006 01:42 AM

installed, however I now have users who have visisted as well as members who have visited....

Any ideas as to why?

upgraded recently from 3.0.9 to 3.5.4

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Paul M 05-23-2006 04:03 AM

You need to remove the old template code (from Forumhome) that the 3.0.9 version used.

Hawk7173 05-24-2006 12:29 AM

Thanks...worked like a charm

UncoderMom 05-24-2006 05:46 PM

Works great! Thanks!

dinodonk 05-25-2006 02:07 AM

can we use this with point system (ebux or ucash)? so every member who has visited granted with point??

TIA

Paul M 05-25-2006 07:26 AM

There is no integration between this and any cash system.

TPOCJames 05-26-2006 11:14 PM

Hey Paul, can you provide me the code to add to the FORUMHOME template? I'm using a highly customized template and it didn't install automatically.

Paul M 05-26-2006 11:48 PM

The Display_Visitors template contains all the html to display this. :)

TPOCJames 05-27-2006 12:00 AM

Ah okay, thanks! So should I do something like $Display_Visitors to get it working?

Paul M 05-27-2006 12:03 AM

No.

It you want it to inject the html automatically, you need to add the comment <!-- end logged-in users --> in the template as this is what it looks for - otherwise manually copy the contents of the Display_Visitors template into your FORUMHOME template.

TPOCJames 05-27-2006 12:07 AM

Hmm. I can't even find the Display_Visitors template. It looks like it didn't install.

TPOCJames 05-27-2006 12:20 AM

Nevermind. Figured it out. :D

M_OReilly16 05-27-2006 02:42 AM

installed, working fine and loving this little mod! Well done :)
