Actually, I just figured it out. I ran the language update again, had to do it 3 times, and now it works.

I anstalled this hack and in Admincp the admincp/downloadadmin.php?do=settings gives a totally blank page (must be some misconfiguration) The /admincp/downloadadmin.php?do=category one displays properly

Hey Ron1n,

The hack is installed and working to a point, once i have uploaded a file it is CHMOD 600 on the webserver and not 755/777 how can i fix this?

Hi there .. I've a (I guess) little problem:
I'm able to open the download-options using the vbulletin-options. Trying to open them using the button in the ACP-navbar failes. The button for editing the categories runs! What could be the error?

Hi,
it's a very nice mod for vbulletin :) good work! ok I have few questions:

1) Can I use this mod for making a music library? if so then, is there any way of uploading mp3 files through FTP? (bulk uploading)?

2) Can I add anti-leech protection? so on one can see the actual path to the files?

It's running in 3.08, so I'd think it will work in 3.07, too! ;)

I've a little problem again:

Firstival, in the Download-Options I deaktivated "view downloads" for a usergroup, but they still see the offered files .. is this right?
Secondary, there are two options I can activate and deactivate, but I don't really know what they are doing:

I updated this hack with the new zip file, and the fix update. After updateing, the downloads.php page loads blank. I then uninstalled everything, including the old version. I tried starting over new with only the new zip and fix file but still the downloads.php page loads blank.

Edited: After rebuilding my styles about 5 to 10 times and rebiulding languages a bunch it loaded correctly. So my advise for those who get a blank downloads.php page, try rebiulding styles, language, and delete temp internet files. After awhile it will load.

If you use the dit function to change the category of a download, the file name entry in the DB and the actual name if the file can get out of sync. AT the very least the .ext is dropped, which of course causes problem for a downloader. Any subsequent changes seem to get the names totally out of sync and attempts to downdload result in a file not found message.

I am currently, gettin all the name back in sync by manual edit of bothe file names and the entries in the DB. But even then, I can't allow any new uploads until, the issue is resolved. Any body know anything about this??

Is there ANY way to have this play multimedia files inline? Like possibly add this hack to this download hack:

Playing media files shouldn't be a security risk, just the SWF files, which I don't use.

I think adding a place where you can view the viles would be cool with this hack!

Platnum,

I hate this same error. I think I fixed it by changing the Files Per Page setting in the admincp for the Downloads. I can't remember what it was set to, but put it to like 2 or soemthing. Than try it again. That allowed me to add a file, and I've never had that error again.

I think that is how I fixed it though.

Hey guys, i had this installed and working perfectly but we moved to a bigger server. I have edited my php.ini like i did before to accept larger files but still anything over 2-3 megs is not put into the folder it uploads it with no errors just does not place it in the folder. so when you click the link to download the file it just gives you a redirect error. I looked in the downloads folder and it is not there. did i miss something else besides the php.ini file?

and liek i said smaller files work perfectly. i edited the php.ini in etc/php.ini like before on our old server and it worked like a charm...

No way to really do that as the program is currently designed. Also, if you are using this version of ecDownloads, it has many, many security holes. You need to upgrade to the latest version - https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=120122
