I got everthing working, EXCEPT when a user posts a new thread, it does not give them the points. It only gives them points when someone looks at their thread. What could be wrong?

Did you edit every forum? Like, you don't have to make any actual edits, but you have to go into each forum in forum manager and then scroll to the bottom and hit update. I had that same problem. Also, there are settings in each forum saying how many times you want to multiply your original setting of points for each action. By default it should be set to 1 for threads, 1 for posts, and 1 for thread views. (like, say you set in the manager 4 points for each post - if you set the post setting to 2 in any particular forum, everytime a person posts they'd get 8) You probably know what I meant but sometimes I confuse myself!

But yeah, if you haven't done that try that because I had that problem :)

hi, i have everything installed, but users dont get points when they start a thread, post a reply etc, i can donate points though. can anyone help? thanks

upload a default version of global.php and init.php and rehack them

is it possible or what would it take to make an action that would give users so many points for clicking ads on your site? like 10 points or 25 etc? with a 24 hour timer on clicks per user ?

Admin Donate problem...

It doesn't work. Plain and simple. Well, it works, but instead of donating the points to the user you specify... it donates them to the admin that is giving them. lol

Anyway you can fix this?

grr, When i viewushop.php as an admin I geta message that says "No actions found...", I've checked in the databse and the actions are there, i've also checked in the admin cp to make sure that the groups that are supposed to be able to view them can plus that they are active and can be displayed in actions list but i am still getting nothing :(

Any help would be greatly appreciated ;)

Are your users have the same problem? are you 110% sure all your file edits were done correctly?

I am running 3.0.1
I used the "ushop_install.php"
And then I did the file edits by hand.

I am getting these errors:

Double check your edits, and make sure you RUN the installer.

The installer being "ushop_install.php"?

I ran ushop_install.php. It went through a few steps and said "Be sure to delete this file"...

Im getting the "No actions found" as well :( Ive quickly read through this thread, yet I couldnt solve my problem.. Any ideas why that would happen? And should it be a file edit problem, which file could it be thats causing this? Ive been carefull not to mess up while editing, but you never know..

Any other suggestions are wellcome as well!

well I'm getting the same 'No actions found..' problem
thing that I cannot understand is: I installed it about a week ago, everything is perfect, I can get points, I can go ushop.php, I can buy actions. But now when I come to ushop.php it shows 'No actions found...'

I am still testing it, was about to install in my main board but now I understand nothing why it came to that. Then I can't install in my main board.
I am sure I edited all files 200% correct (well, because it was ok and no errors )

Check your files again, O.o usualy no actions found indicates that you skiped a step.

and that means I didn't skip any steps

is it me or does it default to saying "No actions found" if youre not logged in?

That seems needlessly vague to me. If you dont want a non-logged in user to see the shop, it should at least say "Please log in"

I'm having a bit of trouble. When my users go to the store, it says No actions found... and I had fixed that. But when I go to the store it shows everything. Ermm... what shall I do? And if I did reinstall it, then what pieces would I have to redo. Like would I have to redo all the file edits and stuff. Or is there a easier way around this?

One of my users found an exploit with the "points per view" action in showthread.

He logged off and opened 10 browser windows and then used some sort of program to refresh each window over and over again.

Over a period of time he managed to guest-view his own thread 90,000 times and got himself tons and tons of points.

The psuedo-solution to this problem would be to add "&& $bbuserinfo[userid] > 0" in the showthread.php conditional, but this would disable points for all guest views and would encourage members to create duplicate registered accounts to exploit this.

A better solution would be to have some sort of time limit, so they can only get so many views per minute or something.

I suggest using the points via viewing thread like the Lesane's Store, e.g: 10$ for 100 views, 100$ for 1000 views and so one. that would reduct the cheating.

Currently where we use it, we only give .01 or .1 points per view, which would require quite alot of effort for someone to cheat and gain money.

There is a bug with the musername stuff. colored usernames do not show up properly in the "Whats Going On?" bar and also the "Who's Online" page because the custom utt database variables are not passed into the fetch_musername function.

This still does not make glow display on anything except showthread, but that may prove difficult to fix.

Hi, I'm getting an error in the ushop.php.. It Looks like this:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/pixelki/public_html/forum/ushop.php on line 144

I did the manual install, anyone know the problem?

You have miss hacked your files, start again with fresh files and DONT use Dreamweaver.
