I handled it my self the previous error. i just made shoutid not auto_increment and it worked.

Database error in vBulletin 3.0.7:

I have installed the hack, had no errors. When I type http://forum/forums/shoutbox.php then it works.
But I see no shoutbox at my forum. Seems like there have bene done no template changes, although it said it did during install.

What am I doing wrong?

i just installed this hack last night on my boards. i am running 3.0.7 and it wasn't entirely clear to me from the instructions on getting this set up right the first run through. But i did manage to get everything working perfectly.

so if any of you are having just simple installation questions or questions on where to find certain things, ask away. I can not, however, answer any parsing questions or file error messages as my installation was without any so i don't have any knowledge of remedies for those.

is the admin cp option there for you to edit users permission to not view the shout box? The problem I'm having is that, that's not there and anyone has permission to edit a post in it, even members not logged in.

Editing in that this did work, but then I had trouble viewing what I was supposed to edit. I just happened to come across it by accident and when I finished the editing I really made a mess. I'll have to try this another day.

The shoutbox options are the last category in the vbulletin options. But permissions settings for the shoutbox are located underneath the usergroup manager.

I upgraded to 3.5 tonight and would like to remove this. I have deleted the files but still have a piece of what used to be this hack. Can someone point me in the right direction to remove this hack completely.

Great hack! Just installed it, was the easiest hack I have ever installed.
One question though, how can I make it so the shoutbox is seen on all forums?

What is the exact error you recieve? No error, I don't have it installed but still have it showing up in my admin cp options and would like to remove it from there.
Where does the supposed error happen? In VBulletin options
What vB version are you running? 3.5

I would just like the uninstall queries to remove this from my database and I couldn't find it in this thread. Thanks :)

Good question.

How do we uninstall the hack? Even if we delete it we still have the shout manager/etc in admincp.

This is not working for 3.0.7 as I keep getting the errors:

I unistalled this and didn't like because iframe is the only problem that the shoutbox message doesn't show, no word text button, no category title of shoutbox name.

Enable debug mode. In you AdminCP, goto vBoptions, Shoutbox Settings and click the delete link.

Turn off Debug mode.

A couple of pages back, i saw the method to get it to work as a vBAdvanced block, well it doesn't work for me (shows the whole page, not just the shout area). Anyone have any other methods?

If anyone needs any help installing this hack on vBulletin v3.0.7, email me at "shadoxx428@gmail.com". There are some things you might need to do if you have errors while editing usergroup permissions and such. There are a few queries you need to do against the database. Also, if you're installing this hack over another or failed installation, and you get duplicate table errors while trying to install again, there are a few queries you need to run as well.

I really like this shoutbox and we have it installed on a couple of forums :)
My question is though are there any plans to make this compatable with vb3.5?
I know there is a shoutbox available for vb3.5 already but to me it lacks the features of this one

Running this hack on vb 3.0.7 and all seemed to go well on install (no error messages)
and the shoutbox appears to be running as it should. BUT i do seem to be missing a few features, soft/hard delete etc. (it is enabled in usergroup permissions)

also the shoutbox options dropdown dont work (nothing there when you drop it)

Im new to all this so forgive what might be newbie questions ;) i have searched here for days and not found the answers.

Durring install you get the option to generate files. After selecting this it creates, templates.php phrases.php and settings.php if i click Save this file nothing appears to happen? am i missing something here or do i have to manually save these somewere ? if not were are they saved so i can check they are there.

again sorry for the newbie questions but any help with this would be nice :)
