A hotfix has been released for an issue where you'd be able to see hidden content by quoting the post.

Re-download and re-upload the files to ensure you have the fix :)

DragonByte Tech 09-06-2011 10:41 PM

Try flushing any cache systems like vB Optimise you may be running.

Still no joy,im afraid

DragonByte Tech 09-07-2011 07:11 PM

Then I'm out of ideas, those steps always worked for other people...

It's not a problem with the mod, at any rate, or everybody would have the issue :p

I'm sure to do that, you need to edit your config.php file for your website. If you're the owner and you installed the site yourself, then your ID number should be '1' , which is what you need to put into the config file.

Just look very carefully in the config file and you should see where it needs to be added.

Hope that helps you. :)

This was super easy to install. Thanks so much !!

Are you sure your user is 1 and not another number?

Masked Crusader 09-13-2011 06:44 AM

Hey DBTech.

I had a customization question for you. Instead of the Thanks/Likes/Dislikes counts in the postbit because a collasped box, is there a way to just make it non-collasped at the start? I was going to try the title header for it and just put the Thanks/Likes/Dislikes counts there and have them show the moment you open a thread.

DragonByte Tech 09-13-2011 11:10 AM

Replace the dbtech_thanks_postbit template with just
Code:

{vb:raw stats}

Just installed the mod of my forums! works great!

Also spent the last 4 days reading through almost 60 pages of comments!!!

I think you should include the a tips and tricks with the zip which should include stuff just like the one mentioned above to customise the mod a little if required :)

Also I believe you should implement customised placement of the bar. Many users have asked for it and I am asking again!

Hoping for a update soon!

Hi,
it looks very good, but.... i want to install it for vbulletin 4.1 but... i can not :/

inphoenix 09-16-2011 07:32 PM

I see that the new version supports guest clicking thanks/like. But it won't show anything for name, It says "liked this post" and increases the rep count. Should it say "Guest liked this post" ?

Also, is there a way to turn off notifications for thanks/like?

EDIT : One more question. Is there a way to lookup Thanks/like stats for certain time period? Like say last week, last month?

ReFuZe 09-17-2011 05:37 PM

I installed it and it installs perfectly but it wont let me clikc on thnaks and dilikea dna ll that DO you know why its doing this

DragonMasterNYC 09-17-2011 06:15 PM

I'm having a small problem.

I use vbAdvanced for my CMS and anytime I enable this plugin I have template problems.

News module normally has a bar on the bottom of each post that shows thread views, reply count, edit post, reply and send to a friend via email.

Now when I enable the plugin it no longer shows the bar, the images are removed, the links are without the sytle's css, and pushes the links to the left side of the post.

As for the Poll Module it just removes the poll images.

These are the only issues I've found so far

I would like to use this plugin because of what it adds to the forums, but I have it disabled due to this problem. Any information will help.

Thanks ahead of time.

Guest clicking is not supported, and I am unable to reproduce any issue that allows guests to click.

You can do it manually via SQL queries, but it's not something we support via an interface.

Please check your usergroup permissions in the Button Manager.

vBAdvanced is full of compatibility issues with various mods, so unfortunately we won't be able to offer any assistance in this issue :(

You're no-welcome :p

FYI, it only adds the link on its dedicated pages, not on your showthread :)

It's ok I'll just find another that doesn't screw with vbAdvanced, first time I've had an issue with it in years. At least it gives me the heads up not to go pro with this one, I haven't tried any of the other mods we've purchased from you.

Anyway thanks for your time.

We always recommend trying out the Lite version before going Pro, since we're unable to guarantee 100% compatibility and finding this out post-install means the transaction is ineligible for a refund (seeing as the product is already downloaded, we'd have no way of knowing if the person downloading it would leave it installed, or re-install it later) :)

My partner and I have 2 of your products already from a few years ago and we know they work with vbAdvanced, but I was just testing this one out before he put the cash down.

I think you helped out my partner last year with a problem via your site.

Knele 09-21-2011 07:32 PM

I need to place the thanks button inline with the other buttons (quote, quickrply etc..) is that possible? Or where can i access the html for displaying the button itself, if the inline positioning isn't possible, i would like to move the thanks button to the right?

Not easily, it's not something we support at this time.
