hey DragonByte Tech is there any setting to mention all stafff at once time? like we able to create a group/circle for staff and mention just once @staff and they all will got notifications?

and i have double post issue when members try to mentions other members on his/her thread the post will duplicate

All quotes and mentions (we do not use thread tags) have a duplicated "Deleted Posts". Also, the vBOptimise integration doesn't seem to work in this situation, since the notification is immediate, but the link to the quote/mention will only appear in the member profile after the cache is renewed.

visible is 1 for both thread and post tables for entires in question.

Having this issue where email notifications quoting a user specially on a new thread comes in blank like the below

This only happens when a user is quoted on a new thread. Works fine on threads already created.

Hey all, sorry for the delay in getting back to you all on the "duplicate" issue. It turns out it was a Lite-only issue, and I've fixed it locally.

I will release Patch Level 1 on Monday :)

I'm also hoping to include a fix for the "first post" issue mentioned above in that release :)

I tried this mod a couple weeks ago, it didn't work as I expected so I removed it soon, no user had the chance to try it. I have removed all files and uninstalled the product. But today I noticed a message on "who is online" (a real member):

Unknown Location: www.myforum.com/dbtech/usertag/images/mention.png?t=B8DJ5M3

I searched "dbtech" and "mention.png" everywhere in the system, plugins, templates, phrases, even post table, but couldn't find anything that could possibly link to this file, any ideas? Thanks!

Looks like a cached file on your server somewhere, I can't really say though :(

Is there a minimum length for usernames to work with the @user feature? And if so, how can you increase/decrease it? We have some members with two characters.

It can work with 1 character usernames, but only if your "minimum username length" setting allows it.

In other words, if you use a non-compliant "username change" mod (as opposed to ours) or have changed the vBOption without also renaming those users, it may cause an issue.

Scenario:
- Your minimum username length is set to 3
- You manually renamed a user / used another username change mod and the user changed it to for instance just "L"

You'll be unable to mention this person until you update the vBOption.

So I changed the minimum length to 2 characters in my default vbulletin settings. Are there any other options to edit/update to enable a screenname like 'TJ"?

There is another issue, can you add this in a feature? in an option? like to replace the "Mention" tab under "Visitors messages", like a sub category - just like it works in "My Activity" Because if you have a fixed style, not a wide one, the profile gets messy:

This is because you have changed the character set of some of your database tables without setting the global default for the entire database.

Please also perform those changes for the User Tagging tables. You should also bring such errors to your system administrator before posting them to us, as we are unable to resolve issues in the configuration made by your system administrator.

Hotfix: PHP 5.4 Compatibility fixes

Yeah, you can enter each table and edit the "collation" for each database table and use the "Operations" tab to change the "collation" for the entire database as well as individual tables :)

hey DragonByte

apologies for hassling you, but i have used your add on for absolute ages and obviously installed vb4.2.2 and upgraded to [DBTech] Advanced User Tagging v3.0.8pl1 [Lite].zip, i dont know if i did something wrong or if its a setting somewhere but whenever anyone posts and uses the @ with a usersname the board is double posting that post, could you possibly help or point me in the right direction to fix this ?

Hi,

I've installed your mod, and seems to be working very smoothly but I just noticed two errors. First is the control panel which doesn't work. It says

Code:
404 Not Found

The resource requested could not be found on this server!
Even though I uploaded all the right files.

Also when my users get a notification for quotes, it leads to a 404 error

Edit: I have fixed the issue with the control panel, but the quote notification still gives an error.
Edit 2: I have fixed the other problem too.

Hey Santor, that's very odd...I have been using many dbtech mods for over 2 years without issue and support is great!!!

What version of vB and what version of the mod are you using?
Ensure your files are in the right place on the server!
