To do it in a specific forum, you need to switch to manual deployment, add it to FORUMDISPLAY template and wrap it in this:
Code:

<vb:if condition="$foruminfo['forumid'] == x"></vb:if>
Where x is your forum id.

I love this chat!!! thanks!
Installed and voted!
Only one question: for add this chat to vbgallery home, ( http://www.macroforum.org/gallery/index.php ), what i must insert in shoutbox deployment setting?
I have inserted {vb:raw vbshout} in ADV_GALLERY template but nothing show.
Now i have removed "index" for shows in all pages but it's temporary solution....
Thanks for any help.

If this is not found, and all the above steps are completed, then you may have an out of date template. Please revert any customisations to dbtech_vbshout_shoutbox

If none of the above steps fix it for you, then it's a browser issue that we are unfortunately unable to assist with.

Fillip

Please help me I have no sound. Fresh board and install.
I'm new to this so be gentle on me.

Where do I find the source page, and how or what is revert any customisations to dbtech_vbshout_shoutbox

Also how can I remove the date stamp?
Thanks in advance.

SEW810 03-23-2011 08:15 PM

Thnx Fillip.

It's Internet Explorer 8 :)

Template Manager -> DragonByte Tech: vBShout Templates -> Find any templates in red, mark them, click Revert.

Edit the shouttypes templates and remove the date from there.

In that case I am unable to replicate this problem. Please try it on a default skin.

Dakoom 03-29-2011 10:24 PM

Is it possible to have a different shoutbox for each subforum?

DragonByte Tech 03-29-2011 10:33 PM

Not currently, no, however that will be possible in v5.4.0 :)

What does "CHMOD the /dbtech/vbshout/aop folder to 0777" mean?

DragonByte Tech 04-06-2011 02:01 AM

Did you set usergroup permissions correctly?

Fillip

MGC x Pie x MC 04-06-2011 02:07 AM

Sorry, im new to this stuff

DragonByte Tech 04-06-2011 02:11 AM

DragonByte Tech 04-06-2011 02:37 AM

You'll need to use your FTP program, right clicking and choosing properties.

If you're using your control panel to upload files then please contact your host.

BlackColla 04-06-2011 09:02 PM

hi,
i upgraded my old version(well, i forgot what version it was.. some 3.x version i think) and encountered some strange behavior with the new reply notices.

we have 4 rooms running.
when i write in our 3 added rooms the primary(preinstalled) room every time shows the sign of a new reply when i write something.
this stays while i'm switchin' between the 3 added rooms until i enter the primary, even there is no new reply.

i hope this description was usefull...
regards

DragonByte Tech 04-06-2011 09:11 PM

That's sadly not possible to fix without extensive rewriting :(

Fillip

BlackColla 04-07-2011 07:20 AM

should a fresh new install fix this problem?

edit: other question: is there an option to remove the "unhandled reports" tab?

I hope this can get fixed :/ I install, follow every step and do 777 CHMOD so thats not the issue here but when I type message in my native language (Something like Król, or anything including letter ąćźżłó etc.) it couse to show:
Error: Internal Server Error

Hey guys,
I'm currently looking for a chat-ROOM system for VB 4x - I know this here product would more than meet my needs and know from experience that you provide good support and quality products but I am specifically looking for a 'full page' chat - not a 'box' per-say.

So to be blunt, is it possible to have this shoutbox in fullscreen on it's own page rather than embedded at the top or bottom of another? Like an actual 'chatroom'.

Like say flashchat.

Yes, but you need to pay for it. :)

vBShout can be detached, after detaching it's actually new window (or tab, depends on your browser) and you can use it that way.

Check their website: http://www.dragonbyte-tech.com/ they have full (paid) versions of their mods there and you can test them before you buy it.

This looks like this: http://www.dragonbyte-tech.com/vbsho...h&instanceid=1

Every user can decide how big or small he wants to have his vBShout, detached or not through his UserCP.

What browser are you using? I've been unable to confirm this on vB 4.1.1 and above using Firefox 4.

 Thanks a lot! Just the answer I wanted :)

I8DAPUC 04-09-2011 12:46 AM

Is there anyway of making where you write shouts at the bottom below the chatbox so you have more space for shouts etc ?

DragonByte Tech 04-09-2011 01:12 AM

That is a Pro-only feature :)

MortysTW 04-09-2011 01:29 AM

What am I missing? I want the vbshout to be in my header above everything else. So I DISABLED the function where it says to put it below the navbar or in the footer. Then in the MANUAL box I put "header" because that's the template. And then in the "header" template, I put the {vb:raw vbshout} in there as line 1.

But nothing shows up. vbshout works and displays perfectly when I tell it to be at the navbar.

Is it because I have a custom style? And I have to do something more than just put "header"? I have to somehow put StyleName:header or something goofy like that? I'm at a loss here.

Wanting to get it all tweaked correctly before I bother with going Pro.

DragonByte Tech 04-09-2011 01:48 AM

It's possible the header template is rendered too soon for this mod to hook into.

Did you try using navbar instead and putting it in the top of the navbar template?

Just tried that too. No luck. Still nothing.

MortysTW 04-09-2011 03:33 PM

Got it to work in navbar. But can't go any higher it seems. Something isn't loading quick enough to render it.

PvOwnage 04-10-2011 05:04 PM

Can I get help with changing the color of the time and active users? its white here!

http://screensnapr.com/e/UrLkzQ.png

DragonByte Tech 04-10-2011 05:13 PM

The input area works off of two StyleVars:
input_background and control_focus_background. The first is before the user selected the input area, and the 2nd is while the user is typing.

The actual shouts' background area works off of the postbit_background StyleVar.

Hope that helps :)
