What are some ideas for additional custom rewards?

I'm trying most referrals and useful threads (most replies to their threads)

I'm having some problems with custom awards assigned to an individual account.

Some times they just won't "take". This is even if I run all the cron jobs manually, click generate awards, etc.

For example, I have a staff member who is taking forever to complete the build of his car. I want to give him a "longest build ever" award.

I've run "Generate Awards" - I've even run the recaluclate cron job.

Which version are you using? It seems 3.7.12 has problems with custom assign. Fixed in 3.7.14 which will be released next week.

Check setting "Displaymode in postbit".

This has nothing in common with any other award system, it uses it's own. Same for vBCredits.

How are the awards calculating.. last x-days? over all ?

Great work on this Phalynx. Have you considered adding date functionality to the awards, so they could be handed out like employee of the month trophies? Like most referrals in May, for example?

no I did not, I didnt see that I was suppose too. I will read again :confused:

I've tried almost everything (setting a static number and not a percent, modified templates, etc)... No matter WHAT you do, if you are using 3.7gold and the regular POSTBIT style (not legacy), the bars will be different widths for different users. This occurs with the regular postbit (username above post) and the bars under the username (left side).

Any ideas?

I hear first time of such a behaviour. Also I don't have 3.6.7 anywhere installed to test this.

I thought already about it, but the current data does not allow to filter on a date base.

Why should vBExperience need this hack? It is absolutly not necessary.

You mean the alt text for the bars? Why would that cause the bars to be longer? And also, I don't want the bars if they can't have the extra info when you hover over them..

If you mean text and bars, I was using bars only.

If you don't use the descriptive text above the bars you will have to relocate the bars in the settings.

I have the error with the double in the postbit when i enable the vS-Hide.Hack.Resurrection.

I just uploaded all your files.. into respective folders, imported product and as soon as i imported the product, my admin cp wont load to install product level..? i cant use my backend.. the menu is there but the data page is blank..

please help..?

i tried removing the xml and it hasnt made a difference..? im running vb3.7 gold... im worried to log out of admincp as im not sure it will load correctly... how do i get my admin cp to work?

Follow the installation instruction. The extra files are extras, you don't need them in normal case.

Installed and working just fine.. except for 1 problem..

i have vb 3.7 , your latest product , im using level 3 ( previously tried level 2) i recounted under maintenence..

i have a user with 1000's of posts at the top of my leader board, however i dont want to award for posting as it will encourage 1 word posts to push up points.. so i changed experience points to 0 points for posts and more points for threads and thrad views, thanks etc..

i ran maintenence thinking it would rearrange the leader board to reflect the new points awarded but the high post members are still at teh top of the leader board? how do i change this? i was assuming running maintenence and crons, i could recount and show new leader to reflect no pints for posts.. but the leader board still displays points for posts??

please help me recount all members reflecting new settings?

Hmm.. i have deleted stats, recounted with points for posts set to 0, i still get points for posts counted? i really dont want to thank high posters.. how do i get rid of this? i dont want any points awarded for posts , just threads, rep, thanks etc..

Phalynx, I'm puzzled over how the gold, silver, bronze bit works. I've read the instructions and I can't see anything clear on how to get it working. (admittedly it's been a long day, so it's probably escaped me :) )

I explained that already a few times in this thread, please search for this.

Probably you are using custom styles that are not compatible with vBulletin 3.7 - please revert postbit / postbit_legacy to see it. Take a look at the original templates where the template hooks called $template_hook are and copy them to your style.

Anyone explain to me how levels are calculated? It seems to change at all hours of the day. I understand the total points are in descending order but not necessarily levels. Some users have lower levels but higher points. Can anyone explain how this works? You shud have a read me file on this... definitions and how it works.

Check also the settings in AdminCP/Settings/vBExperience Points - there you have a list of what is calculated, which factor is beeing used, etc...

You cannot give awards to usergroups, only to users. And at this moment the manual assign does not work as it should.

About the images
You have a folder called extras, im assuming its the images for bars and such :)
But where do i put that?
because on the statastics and such i just see the level and stuff but all spaced out
no images...
