I figured it out thanks. Didn't work for the template I was using, upload the images to my themedir. All fixed up.

Okay I must be an idiot because I've followed the instructions to the T and this is what I get when I go into my AdminCP...

If I click on Save, it redirects to a page that says "Nothing To Do"

Help!

Does HTML in articles work for anyone else? I have allow HTML checked as yes but all it does is print out the code on the page.

http://www.rcflying.net/forums/article.php?a=5

It appears to take all my HTML hyperlinks and adds another set of <A HREF> links around them.

Code:

<CENTER><TABLE><TR> <TD><A HREF="<a href="http://www.rcflying.net/caextra27/kit1.jpg" target="_blank">http://www.rcflying.net/caextra27/kit1.jpg</a>" TARGET="_blank"><IMG SRC="<a href="http://www.rcflying.net/caextra27/sm_kit1.jpg" target="_blank">http://www.rcflying.net/caextra27/sm_kit1.jpg</a>" HEIGHT="100" WIDTH="125"></A></TD> <TD><A HREF="<a href="http://www.rcflying.net/caextra27/kit2.jpg" target="_blank">http://www.rcflying.net/caextra27/kit2.jpg</a>" TARGET="_blank"><IMG SRC="<a href="http://www.rcflying.net/caextra27/sm_kit2.jpg" target="_blank">http://www.rcflying.net/caextra27/sm_kit2.jpg</a>" HEIGHT="99" WIDTH="150"></A></TD> <TD><A HREF="<a href="http://www.rcflying.net/caextra27/kit3.jpg" target="_blank">http://www.rcflying.net/caextra27/kit3.jpg</a>" TARGET="_blank"><IMG SRC="<a href="http://www.rcflying.net/caextra27/sm_kit3.jpg" target="_blank">http://www.rcflying.net/caextra27/sm_kit3.jpg</a>" HEIGHT="99" WIDTH="150"></A></TD></TR></TABLE></CENTER><br />

OK, if I remove the http://www.rcflying.net from my links it works fine... so this means you can't link to stuff outside your own domain I guess.

Good addition to vB but I need to display images within the text and not at the end of the document so I guess my search goes on ... and on ... and on ... :D

Well, you can use the [img] code to embed an image in the usual fashion, but I'm guessing you're looking for a way to display saved images rather than hosted ones?

Thats right, because of the nature of the documents (graphics tutorials) they will need multiple in-line graphics and I can't take the chance of the images disappearing off other people's web-space.

I see this being more useful for articles and such where it's not about discussions but about focusing on one initial post (the article). At the same time you can allow for commenting and rating of the articles, but if they want to actually discuss it they'd have to do it elsehwere. At least that's how I see it.

I need something like this too, or at least the normal "unregistered" options, where I can type in a name/email address for a submitter rather than it strictly being posted as "Unregistered".

I'm convering old stuff from my site to try to integrate everything with vb, and I have 4 years worth of articles posted by various people and right now there is no way to post those without them either showing up as written by me or Unregistered.

Any ideas?? Dying to get this working right...
