No, it always shows the newest post on the bottom of the page, which is also quite anoying when you're trying to quick reply

Is it also possible to stop the mod from automatically scrolling down the newest post?

Unfortunately not, no. That'd be the vBulletin function to init the postbit, which we have to use in order to make stuff like Quick Edit and such work :(

this still happens. I got rid of the manual fix from a while back, so basically I get the prompt to Refresh or Stay on the Page quite often, it seems like it happens if someone maybe posts at the same time as me but that has never been consistent. All I know is that it happens often when there's more traffic than usual, maybe 3-8 people discussing a topic in real time, like a sports game in progress.

It just seems to defeat the purpose of "live" automatic refreshing when about 1/3 of the time the screen has to refresh completely itself.

Unless it can be reliably reproduced, I have no way of debugging it :(

You may want to consider enabling error logging to file in your PHP setup, so you can see if there's any PHP errors that are intermittent.

Is there a way to disable or delete the image which says "LIVE" in front of all threads in bold red? This looks really strange in my forum.

Disable the threadbit display plugin for this mod :)

Thanks. :)
That solved my problem.

Is there any way to have Metafilter-style new post alert behavior?

IE: If there are no new posts, nothing shows up. When they're are there, a little box pops up with how many new posts there are, and asks if you want to see more. It also tells you to reload the page when it goes too long with no updates. It works a little bit like how new tweets are loaded on Twitter.

My users really love the plugin and I've gone ahead and bought the pro version, but they really don't like how the automatic updates work now.

Unfortunately that would require a significant re-write of the way the mod works :(

You can post a suggestion in our forums: http://www.dragonbyte-tech.com/forumdisplay.php?f=107 and we'll take it into consideration :)
