I have install this mod. But i can't find any sitemap for my site:

For Example:
When i type ( http://www.site.com/sitemap.xml ) i see 404 error.

if you are in /forums,
your sitemap will be

yourdomain.com/forums/sitemap_index.xml.gz

if you aren't in /forums
then
yourdomain.com/sitemap_index.xml.gz

Sitemap file not found

has it been run yet? if you just installed it, you will either
1) wait until the cron runs (usually 3am)
2) run it manually from the /vbseo_sitemap/ portal

Which would be better? A Sitemap or nice clean SEO URLS?

'seo urls' (read, keywords in the link) aren't that important.

it's a STATIC url with one-resource with one-access method that's important.

all this t= p= printthread= archive= mode=threaded mode=hybrid crap that kills your SEO.
on a 20-post topic (assuming a single page in options), there's literally

1 t
20 p
1 archive
1 t + threaded
1 t + hybrid
20 p + threaded
20 p + hybird
1 print

all for the same exact resource

and then there's the individual show posts, so, add another 20.

With default vB on a normal 20 post thread, you have nearly 90 options to view the exact same thing.

THAT'S what kills your SEO.

you end up fighting yourself for ranking, which puts you to the bottom.



The sitemap generator is merely a suggestion of urls for bots to go to. it is not the be-all end all.

I get this error message when I try to run sitemap generator could someone please help me? :(
