Could someone Please explain how to get this actually working I have uploaded all the files CHMOD 777 the vbmailer_uploads folder Imported the XML
And Get a Blank Page when I go to VbMailer In the AdminCP
I looked iin the manual and saw there was some manual adjusting to do in the vbmailer_config.php but I am a noob when it comes to mail settings
If possible could someone point me in the right direction I would really like to get this working so i could try it out and see if I would like to buy the full version

Code:

        //What is the site/forums' URL (NO TRAILING SLASH!)
        $vbmailer['siteurl'] = "http://www.yoursite.com/forums";
        //Site path (required for attachments)
        $vbmailer['sitepath'] = "/home/yoursite/public_html/forums";

        //What should vbMailer use to send out emails?
        //mail, sendmail or smtp (CASE SENSITIVE!)
        //If you supply smtp, please supply the information below
        //If you supply sendmail, please supply your sendmail path below
        $vbmailer['mailwith'] = "smtp";            //Send emails with
        $vbmailer['smtphost'] = "mail.windowsfiji.com";                //SMTP Host
        $vbmailer['smtpuser'] = "hacks@windowsfiji.com";                //SMTP Username
        $vbmailer['smtppass'] = "hackerpass";                //SMTP Password
        $vbmailer['sendmailpath'] = "";            //Sendmail path

        //When vbMailer sends out emails, who should they be from?
        $vbmailer['fromemail'] = "hacks@windowsfiji.com"; //Email they are from
        $vbmailer['fromname'] = "Your Forums";      //Name they are from

        //When vbMailer sends out emails, what signatures should be sent
        //Leave empty for defaults
        $vbmailer['textemailsig'] = "";
        $vbmailer['htmlemailsig'] = "";

        //When vbMailer sends a PM, who is it from (username)
        //This should generally be set to the admin's username
        $vbmailer['pmsfrom'] = "admin";
?>

Wow bud but I think I would like to make that discion on my own
15 pages of how it works I don't get what you mean it doesn't work

With the full version is possible to have it set up to send out 200 emails per hour?

dtv100 11-04-2007 02:48 AM

I just got the full version install thanks for a nice addon at fair prices.
but I wish there was a Diagnostics option to test if working 100% that way I would know if need to change some settings and also Stats panel.

hey none of the links on the site work to buy the full version. can you pm me the address or way to buy it?

lafsunlmtd 11-05-2007 06:11 AM

nm i searched for it on google and found it at http://www.quantumhacks.com/vbmailer...n-mailer.html#

but i purchased the full version using the link above. just waiting for my license

lafsunlmtd 11-05-2007 01:46 PM

i bought and they got me my copy within 1/2 hour. It was just like everyone says, buggy. i fixed the prob with the charts, and the prob with the license, but it seems that the settings panel doesn't have an option for the smtp host, so you can't set the proper settings to even send the mail out. i can't find where to edit the config file directly, this sucks so bad.

this is so stupid because the could have been a really popular mod with tons of publicity and instead they ruined it. i put a ticket in to support about 6 hours ago. i will keep you updated. i really hope the developer comes back because this hack was sounding sofa king awesome

I wouldn't ask anyone to ever order anything from this company. I opened a ticket on my webhosting account with them, and without any replies whatsoever, it was just deleted.

Hey Guys,

I too was looking for a "newsletter" mod and thought this might do the trick until I started reading about the coding and support, or lack thereof. So I continued my quest and stumbled upon a great piece of software. The downside is that if you are on a budget this will not work for you.

$159US...
up to 4 separate lists
2 admin users
unlimited mailings
etc...

The best part is that it comes with database integration which worked perfectly with my 50,000+ user vBulletin forum. I also run a smaller 3,000+ user vB forum and sent my first Newsletter out today without flaw.

Take a look... I do not work for the company, just a VERY satisfied user.

There is also a good explanation of how to use the database sync here:
