Didnt see this one here yet .

Ive installed and all seems well.. except that i dont have an option to enable/disble the vbpager in the UserCP. I see the icon in the postbit and in the whos online and in the memberinfo.

But as of right now i have no permissions.. there is only banned users and not registered users disabled from using vbpager..


so whats left to check? the modify options edit is correct.. so im kind of lost at this point..

Edit: errrr... Should include the need to edit the usergroups permissions for the pager in the install file.. I was under the impression everyone had the permissions except the userids listed in the area for banned users.. :) well off to to toy and see if we find any bugs :p

Has anyone who had high server load issues tried the new version?

What exactly has changed, refresh frequency, or something more fundamental.

mine did....buy at least 25% but i'de have to wait couple more days for members to use it more see if it would be higher then 25%

Well Uae, it all seems to work as it is supposed to. Quite impressive. But, we've been finding that the vbpager is crashing people's browsers; only when they're using the latest version of IE. It appears to work flawlessly with Netscape and FF. I'm not quite sure why; I've reinstalled the software, and it all appears to be correct.

I did upgrade my boards from 3.07 to 3.52, and, also, moved everything to a new server. But, all works well. Can't seem to figure out why we're getting these browser crashes. And, they most definitely are triggered by the vbpager popup.

aside from the hack.. i dont know if youre aware how horrible and what a bug that IE7 is alone .. so it doesnt surprise me that it cant handle this and im sure much much more outside of vbulletin ..

As long as you can fetch userinfo on non vb pages, then sure you can use it.


I haven't tried this, cos I'm not getting my IE crashed with the hack, but please do try the update from microsoft and see.
